At the call and direc!on of Msgr. David Kunz, the
Vicar of Clergy for the Diocese of La Crosse, I’ve been
asked to host Fr. Emmanuel Kofi Bekoe from the
Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi, who’s joining the
Diocese of La Crosse.
Fr. Emmanuel will stay with me in Galloway for the
next four weeks for part of his period of orienta!on
acquiring immigra!on status, driver license, vehicle,
etc. - at the cost of the Diocese of La Crosse.
His salary, food allowance, etc. will be borne by the
Diocese.
He will be accompanying me for all official liturgies, in
an effort to learn about life in ‘Good Old Wisconsin’
and a bit about the life of the Church in this Diocese
before in the future he’s assigned.
He’s short and dark as I’m and even now arriv-
ing, more tanned. Do not confuse him with me!
He’s very pleasant!
Please say Hi to Fr. Emmanuel when you see him
around. Thank You!!!

Fr. Gus’ Corner
Blessing of Mothers,
During the season of Easter, what a great !me to
remember our mothers and ask for God's blessing on
them. It is God who ul!mately gave us life. It is
through God's unselfish love--mirrored in our
mothers' willingness to associate their love with God's
and take the risk to love us into life--that we have the
opportunity for life. We remember our mothers this
Mother's Day with much love. Let us pray for each of
them:
God our heavenly Father,
you give to each the ability to share your genera!ve
love. Bless those women in our lives who mirror
your love and bring forth life through their
willingness to risk bringing new life into this world.
Help us to show them our gra!tude for the gi' of
life and the gi' of a mother's love. May our
life-giving God con!nue to bless them and show
them his unfailing love. We ask this through Jesus,
God's Son and our brother. Amen.
