World Day of Prayer for Vocations - May 12

Today is the 56th anniversary of the World Day of

Prayer for Vocations, which was instituted by Pope

Paul VI during the Second Vatican Council. The entire

Church, including lay people, are charged with the

work of fostering priestly and religious vocations.

Please pray that young people, especially those from

our parish, will be open to God’s call in their lives!

Show your commitment to praying for vocations

by enrolling at invisiblemonastery.com.

Catholic Home Missions Thank you for your generous support of our Catholic Home Missions Appeal on April 27-28. Our parish raised $234.00 to strengthen the Church at home and ensure that the Gospel spreads across the United States. If you missed the appeal, just visit www.usccb.org/nationalcollections and click on the “How to Give” link on the left.

HAPPY MOTHER’ S DAY ! We wish all the mothers among us a very Happy Mother’s Day today, and God’s continued blessing on each and every one, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the heavenly Mother of us all. St. Mother Teresa of Kalkata

“I used to pray that God would feed the hungry, or do this or that, but now I pray that

he will guide me to do whatever I’m supposed to do, what I ca do,.

I used to pray for answers, but now I’m praying for strength.

I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us and

we change things.”

World Day of Prayer for Vocations Today the Church throughout the world prays for vocations. Will you make a special effort to ask the Lord for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life?

Pray for the priests who have ministered to you throughout your life, both living and dead.

Keep our parish priests in your prayers throughout the week.

Encourage your children, grandchildren, or other young people to consider a vocation as a priest or religious brother or sister.

Pray a rosary for more young men and women in our diocese to respond to God’s call.
