HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY— FELIZ DIA DE LA MADRE

Mother’s Day Blessing Holy God,

you compared your own love for your people to the love of a mother for her children.

Look with kindness on our mother who has shared in your creating love

by the gift of her children.

We thank you for the joys and sorrows of her life, the giving and sharing, and, especially for your love

that has formed us in your image.

Listen to our prayers and bless the mother

who has nurtured and sustained us. Give her patience in abundance

and let her find joy and satisfaction in all her work.

Glory and praise to you; loving God, through Jesus Christ our Lord,

who was born of the Virgin Mary, and who reigns with you in the glory of heaven,

for ever and ever. Amen.

Gloria y alabanza a ti; amando a Dios

SUNDAY, MAY 09, 2021 | SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

"If you ever feel distressed during your

day — call upon our Lady — just say

this simple prayer: 'Mary, Mother of

Jesus, please be a mother to me now.'

I must admit — this prayer has never

failed me."

--St. Teresa of Calcutta

During this month of May, St. Joseph Catholic Academy stu-

dents turn often to Mary, through the rosary, May Crowning

and their daily prayers. St. Joseph Catholic Academy wishes

all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day and extends a very special

blessing to those women like Mary, the Mother of Jesus, who

act as a mother to any child in need.

Now Enrolling!

Our families say it best… “We made the de-

cision to switch our boys to All Saints after

attending open house in January. We were

extremely impressed

with not only the academic standards, but

the honor code the students are held to as well. The teacher dedi-

cation and positive energy they brought to their classes was amaz-

ing. Our boys were sold on the fact that the students got to roller

skate during gym class and they now have the option to play a

band instrument. We love that we made the switch to All Saints! I

am continually impressed by the amazing classroom projects and

teacher involvement. I love the fact that we immediately felt like

we were part of the All Saints family.”

If you are looking for a successful, in-person learning environment

with a dedicated staff and a Catholic education based on Faith,

Values, and Rigor, then ASCS is the school for your child! We offer

3 year-old Preschool- 8th grade on one campus. Enrollment for the

2021-22 school year is under way.

Anima Christi Alma de Cristo, santifícame.

Cuerpo de Cristo, sálvame.

Sangre de Cristo, embriágame.

Agua del costado de Cristo,

lávame.

Pasión de Cristo, confórtame.

¡Oh, buen Jesús!, óyeme.

Dentro de tus llagas, escóndeme.

No permitas que me aparte de Ti.

Del maligno enemigo,

defiéndeme

En la hora de mi muerte,

llámame.

Y mándame ir a Ti.

Para que con tus santos te alabe.

Por los siglos de los siglos.

Amén

Anima Christi Soul of Christ, sanctify me.

Body of Christ, save me.

Blood of Christ, fill all my veins.

Water from the side of Christ,

wash out my stains.

Passion of Christ, my comfort be.

Good Jesus, listen to me.

In Thy wounds, I fain would hide,

Never to be parted from Thy side.

Guard me,

should the foe assail me.

Call me

when my life shall fail me.

Bid me come to Thee above,

With Thy saints to sing they love

For ever and ever.

Truly, our God loves endlessly. How uplifting it is to hear how God loves

us without boundaries or questions, giving the best of all he possess-

es. During today’s first reading from Acts of the Apostles, we hear that

God’s love is showered on all without partiality. Since we are all created

in God’s image, we are equal: God’s love isn’t metered out according to

any perfections or imperfections we may possess, or according to place or position in human society.

The second reading commands us to love one another because God IS

love. If God can give us the best of all he possesses as his sign of love,

can we not as his children do the same thing? Can we not show our love

by giving generously without partiality, to all in need? “Whoever does

not love does not know God, for God is love” is a very powerful state-

ment. If we claim to be of God but do not have love, we do not really

know God. If we create disharmony among our friends, our family,

or our co-workers, display disobedience to God’s spiritual laws by our

behavior, can we claim to know God who is love?

To show us the depth of his love, God gave us his only Son. The fullness

of God was manifested in bodily form through Jesus, who died on the cross so we might live through Him. Truly, does God not give endlessly?

The Gospel carries the love theme even further. Jesus speaks to his disci-

ples to prepare them for his impending suffering and death. He wants

them to understand how he has loved them, and how they are to carry on that love in their dealings with one anoth-

er. He tells them, “You are my friends if you do what I command you.” Wow! This is awesome! Jesus is not saying, “I

am your God: do what I tell you or else!” Rather is he saying, “I am your friend. Here, let me help you and show you

the way to my Father’s kingdom.” Jesus has made known to us all that he heard from the Father. Through Jesus, God

gives endlessly to us.

We did not choose Jesus: He chose us. We do not have the capability of drawing towards God: it is by the grace of the

Father that we are drawn to Jesus. It is God the Father calling us, telling us through His Spirit, “Jesus is the answer. Go

to him.” By the endless grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are being transformed little by little into

the likeness of Christ. Through the power of love, we are being made holy so that we are able to show God’s love to

others ... be a part of the endless love.

Eucharistic Ministers for the English masses -If you

are fully vaccinated, we can use your help giving out Communion at the 4pm, 8am and 10am masses. More people are returning to mass. If you would like to help us, please let Kris know in the parish office as soon as possible. More ministers helping us with Communion, helps keep masses shorter! 262-656-7373

Hospitality Ministers - needed for the English masses. Our ushers that we have are doing

a great job, but they could use more help to greet people, guide people where to sit, help with the collection and direct people. If you would be willing to help us, please call our office and we will get you connected to Eric Hudock, our lead Hospitality Minister.

Please prayerfully consider helping us!

FIRST READING A reading from the Acts of the Apostles

10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him

and, falling at his feet, paid him homage.

Peter, however, raised him up, saying,

“Get up. I myself am also a human being.”

Then Peter proceeded to speak and said,

“In truth, I see that God shows no partiality.

Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and

acts uprightly

is acceptable to him.”

While Peter was still speaking these things,

the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the

word.

The circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter

were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit

should have been poured out on the Gentiles also,

for they could hear them speaking in tongues and

glorifying God.

Then Peter responded,

“Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these

people,

who have received the Holy Spirit even as we have?”

He ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus

Christ.

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM PSALM 98:1, 2-3, 3-4

OUR RESPONSE IS: R: The Lord has revealed to the nations his saving

power .

Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done wondrous

deeds; His right hand has won victory for him, his holy

arm . R.

The LORD has made his salvation known: in the sight of

the nations he has revealed his justice. He has remem-

bered his kindness and his faithfulness toward the house

of Israel. R.

All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our

God.

Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; break into song;

sing praise. R.

SECOND READING A reading from the first Letter of Saint John

4:7-10

Beloved, let us love one another,

because love is of God;

everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.

Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is

love.

In this way the love of God was revealed to us:

God sent his only Son into the world

so that we might have life through him.

In this is love:

not that we have loved God, but that he loved us

and sent his Son as expiation for our sins

The word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION R. ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA.

Whoever loves me will keep my word, says the Lord,

and my Father will love him and we will come to him .

R. ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA.

John 5:9-17

A reading from the holy Gospel according to John

Jesus said to his disciples:

“As the Father loves me, so I also love you.

Remain in my love.

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my

love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments

and remain in his love.

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you

and your joy might be complete.

This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.

No one has greater love than this,

to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

You are my friends if you do what I command you.

I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know

what his master is doing.

I have called you friends, because I have told you every-

thing I have heard from my Father.

It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you

and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain,

so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may

give you.

This I command you: love one another.”

The Gospel of the Lord.

Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ

ACLAMACIÓN ANTES DEL EVANGELIO R. Aleluya, aleluya.

Si cumplen mis mandamientos, permanecen en mi amor;

Gloria a ti Señor Jesús
