Using polycarbonate and a vinyl record our goal was to create a luminaire that challenged the nature of both materials, and ultimately come together to become a
unified group.
F A I L U R E S A N D P R O C E S SAfter laser cutting the pattern for how both the vinyl record and polycarbonate would be folded, we worked through the limitations of the materials to come to a final plan
to build 15 replicas.

before the shade was folded a diamond patern was spray painted on the inside that only became visible after the lamp was turned on.
