What is WPO?This planet was created with various environments and
numerous species that inhabit them. All of the creatures
of this world were intended to live in harmony. Wildlife
Protection Organization (WPO) is a non-profit organization
that specializes in wilderness conservation. Our goal
is to create a world where humans and nature can live
cohesively. We strive to protect what is left of our natural
world and present its true beauty. To do so, we must
preserve Earths most prominent ecosystems and protect
the animals we care about.

Tigers are one of the most admired animals in the kingdom, yet their
numbers are dwindling. There are as few as 3,200 tigers in the wild
today.
Eastern HimalayasThe eastern Himalayas is a vast mountain range that
stretches across Nepal, Bhutan, northest India, southeast
Tibet and northern Myanmar. The range is home to various
endangered species including the snow leopard, Bengal
tiger and one-horned rhino. The Himalayas is the highest
mountain range in the world, and home to 9 out of the 10
of the highest mountain peaks in the world. The region
contains 10,000 types of plants, 300 mammals, 977 birds,
176 reptiles, 105 amphibians, and 269 freshwater fish.
The grassland harbors the densest population of Bengal
tigers and the mountain range shelters the red panda.
As this is another region that faces the threat of habitat
loss, it also faces climate change. Not only is the climate
well. Melting glaciers are forming lakes prone to flooding.
Warmer temperatures have also brought in invasive insects
and diseases to new areas.
