General Safety• WARNING: The appliance and its accessible parts become

• NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off theappliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fireblanket.

• CAUTION: The cooking process has to be supervised. A shortterm cooking process has to be supervised continuously.

• WARNING: Danger of fire: Do not store items on the cookingsurfaces.

• Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids shouldnot be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot.

• Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance.• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, the Authorised Service Centre or similarlyqualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Where the appliance is directly connected to the powersupply, an all-pole isolating switch with a contact gap isrequired. Complete disconnection in compliance with theconditions specified in overvoltage category III must beguaranteed. The earth cable is excluded from this.

• When you route the mains cable, make sure that the cabledoesn't come into direct contact (for example using insulating

Installation

Warning! The appliance must beinstalled by the authorisedinstaller.

• Remove all the packaging.• Do not install or use a damaged

appliance.• Follow the installation instructions

supplied with the appliance.• Keep the minimum distance from other

appliances and units.• Always take care when moving the

appliance as it is heavy. Always usesafety gloves and enclosed footwear.

• Seal the cut surfaces with a sealant toprevent moisture to cause swelling.

• Protect the bottom of the appliance fromsteam and moisture.

• Do not install the appliance adjacent toa door or under a window. This preventshot cookware falling from the appliancewhen the door or the window is opened.

• If the appliance is installed abovedrawers make sure that the space,between the bottom of the appliance

and the upper drawer, is sufficient for aircirculation.

• The bottom of the appliance can get hot.Make sure to install a non-combustibleseparation panel under the appliance toprevent access to the bottom.Refer to the Assembly Instructions.

Electrical Connection

Warning! Risk of fire and electricshock.

• All electrical connections should be madeby the authorised installer.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Before carrying out any operation make

sure that the appliance is disconnectedfrom the power supply.

• Make sure that the parameters on therating plate are compatible with theelectrical ratings of the mains powersupply.

• Make sure the appliance is installedcorrectly. Loose and incorrect electricitymains cable or plug (if applicable) canmake the terminal become too hot.

• Use the correct electricity mains cable.

• Do not let the electricity mains cabletangle.

• Make sure that a shock protection isinstalled.

• Use the strain relief clamp on the cable.• Make sure the mains cable or plug (if

applicable) does not touch the hotappliance or hot cookware, when youconnect the appliance to the nearsockets.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.

• Make sure not to cause damage to themains plug (if applicable) or to the mainscable. Contact our Authorised ServiceCentre or an electrician to change adamaged mains cable.

• The shock protection of live andinsulated parts must be fastened in sucha way that it cannot be removed withouttools.

• Connect the mains plug to the mainssocket only at the end of the installation.Make sure that there is access to themains plug after the installation.

• If the mains socket is loose, do notconnect the mains plug.

• Do not pull the mains cable to disconnectthe appliance. Always pull the mainsplug.

• Use only correct isolation devices: lineprotecting cut-outs, fuses (screw typefuses removed from the holder), earthleakage trips and contactors.

• The electrical installation must have anisolation device which lets you disconnectthe appliance from the mains at all poles.The isolation device must have a contactopening width of minimum 3 mm.

Gas connection

• All gas connections should be made bythe authorised installer.

• Before installation, make sure that thelocal distribution conditions (nature of the

gas and gas pressure) and theadjustment of the appliance arecompatible.

• Make sure that there is air circulationaround the appliance.

• The information about the gas supply ison the rating plate.

• This appliance is not connected to adevice, which evacuates the products ofcombustion. Make sure to connect theappliance according to currentinstallation regulations. Pay attention torequirements regarding adequateventilation.

Use

• Remove all the packaging, labelling andprotective film (if applicable) before firstuse.

• This appliance is for household use only.• Do not change the specification of this

appliance.• Make sure that the ventilation openings

• Used oil, that can contain food remnants,can cause fire at a lower temperaturethan oil used for the first time.

• Do not put flammable products or itemsthat are wet with flammable products in,near or on the appliance.

• Do not keep hot cookware on the controlpanel.

• Do not let cookware to boil dry.• Be careful not to let objects or cookware

fall on the appliance. The surface can bedamaged.

• Do not activate the cooking zones withempty cookware or without cookware.

• Do not put aluminium foil on theappliance.

• Use only stable cookware with thecorrect shape and diameter larger thanthe dimensions of the burners.

• Make sure cookware is centrallypositioned on the burners.

• Make sure the flame does not go outwhen you quickly turn the knob from themaximum to the minimum position.

• Use only the accessories supplied withthe appliance.

• Do not install a flame diffuser on theburner.

• The use of a gas cooking applianceresults in the production of heat andmoisture. Provide good ventilation in theroom where the appliance is installed.

• Prolonged intensive use of the appliancemay call for additional ventilation, forexample opening of a window, or moreeffective ventilation, for exampleincreasing the level of mechanicalventilation where present.

• This appliance is for cooking purposesonly. It must not be used for otherpurposes, for example room heating.

• Do not let acid liquids, for examplevinegar, lemon juice or limescaleremover, touch the hob. This can causematt patches.

• Discoloration of the enamel or stainlesssteel has no effect on the performance ofthe appliance.

• Do not spray aerosols in the vicinity ofthis appliance while it is in operation.

• Do not place articles on or against theappliance.

• Do not modify the appliance.• Do not use or store flammable materials

in the appliance storage drawer or nearthe appliance.

• Do not use the appliance as a spaceheater.

• Do not allow large cookware tooverhang the cooktop onto the adjacentworktop. This will cause scorching to theworktop surface.

Care and cleaning

Warning! Do not remove thebuttons, knobs or gaskets fromthe control panel. Water may getinside the appliance and causedamage.

• Clean the appliance regularly to preventthe deterioration of the surface material.

• Deactivate the appliance and let it cooldown before you clean it.

• Disconnect the appliance from theelectrical supply before maintenance.

• Do not use water spray and steam toclean the appliance.

• Clean the appliance with a moist softcloth. Only use neutral detergents. Donot use any abrasive products, abrasivecleaning pads, solvents or metal objects.

Daily use

Ignition of the burner

Always ignite the burner beforeyou place the pots or pans.

To ignite the burner:1. Push the control knob and turn it

anticlockwise to the maximum positionmarked with .

2. Once lit keep the control knob pushedfor about 5 sec. As a result,thermocouple heats up, and the safetydevice switches off. If you do not pushthe knob, the gas supply is interrupted.

3. When you light the flame, you canadjust it.

If the burner does not ignite,after a few attempts, check if thecrown and its cap are in correctpositions.

Warning! Do not keep thecontrol knob pressed for morethan 15 seconds. If the burnerdoes not light after 15 seconds,release the control knob, turn itinto the off position, and wait forat least 1 minute before trying tolight the burner again.

If there is no spark when thecontrol knob is pushed then theremay be a fault with the powersupply. Refer to thetroubleshooting section.

Warning! Be careful when youuse open fire in the kitchenenvironment. The manufacturerdeclines any responsibility incase of misusing the flame.

If the burner accidentally goesout, turn the control knob to theoff position and wait for at least1 minute before trying to light itagain.

When you switch on the mainsafter installation or a power cut,the spark generator activatesautomatically.

The hob is supplied with theprogressive valves. They makethe flame regulation moreprecise.

To remove any food remains, wash theenamelled elements, caps, and crowns, withwarm soapy water.Wash stainless steel elements with water,and dry with a soft cloth.This model is equipped with an electricalignition. To avoid problems with lightning,keep the ceramic "candle" with electrodeclean.

Do not put the pan supports in adishwasher. Wash themmanually and dry with a softcloth. After cleaning, make surethat the pan supports are incorrect position.

Removing pan supportsFor easier cleaning, pan supports can beremoved from the hob. Lift up the pansupports keeping them in horizontal

position and with the right order as shownin the graphic.

Electrical Requirements

You can check the parameters ofadjustment setting for thisappliance on the rating plate.Refer to the Technical datachapter.

The manufacturer declines anyliability if these safety measuresare not observed.

The appliance must be connected to a220-240 V 50/60 Hz AC electrical supply.Before activating the appliance, make surethe electrical supply voltage is the same asthat indicated on the rating plate. Therating plate is located below the surface ofthe casing.The appliance is supplied with a standard7.5 amp service cord terminated by a 3-pinplug for connection to a standardhousehold socket.You must install the plug. The wires in themains lead are coloured in accordance withthe following code:Green and yellow - EarthBlue - NeutralBrown - Live1. Connect the green and yellow (earth)

wire to the terminal in the plug which ismarked with the letter 'E' or the earthsymbol , or coloured green andyellow.

2. Connect the blue (neutral) wire to theterminal in the plug which is markedwith the letter 'N' or coloured black.

3. Connect the brown (live) wire to theterminal in the plug which is markedwith the letter 'L' or coloured red.

There must be no cut or stray strands ofwire present. The cord clamp must becorrectly attached on the outer sheath.

To prevent contact between thecable and the appliance belowthe hob use the clamps which areon the side of the cabinet.

Replacement of the connection cable

Warning! To replace theconnection cable, the technicianmust have a specific equipment.

In this case, only cable type H05SS-F T180must be used. The cable section must besuitable to the voltage and the workingtemperature. The yellow and green earthwire 2 must be approximately 2 cm longerthan the brown or black phase wire 1 .

The connection must be installed correctlyand fixed into the hob connection pipe.Otherwise, gas may leak from theconnection pipe.

This appliance is supplied for usewith Natural Gas. However, itcan be converted for use withLPG using the installation kitincluded.

Make sure that the gas supplypressure obeys therecommended values. The nut atthe end of the shaft connects tothe R 1/2" parallel thread on theelbow union. The connection issealed using the supplied sealingwasher.

Technical data chapter. Use this informationin conjunction with the length of run, numberof elbows, tees and bends, the availableservice pressure and the supplyrequirements of other installed appliancesto determine a suitable pipe size. Forassistance in this matter refer to theappropriate section of AS/NZS 5601.1 orAS/NZS 5601.2.An AGA certified class B or D flexibleconnection can be used to connect thecooktop in accordance with AS/NZS5601.1, in particular section 5.9 and clause6.10.1.8, or AS/NZS 5601.2, in particularsection 2.11. Where a hose assembly isused and the cooktop is in the installedposition, the hose assembly shall besuitable for connection to a fixed consumerpiping outlet located at a point 800 –850mm above the floor and in the regionoutside the width of the appliance to adistance of 250mm. The point of connectionto consumer piping must be accessible withappliance installed.Be careful the hose does not come in touchwith mobile parts or is not squeezed. Alsobe careful when the hob is put together withan oven. Ensure that the hose assembly isrestrained from accidental contact with theflue outlet of an underbench oven or anyother hot surface of an adjacent appliance.

RegulatorThe regulator must be positioned that thepressure test nipple is accessible when theappliance is installed. Connect the gassupply to the ½ B.S.P. internal thread inletof the regulator.

The regulators are configured foruse with Natural Gas. It is notrequired to adjust the regulatorto obtain correct outlet pressuresetting.

When the inlet and outlet isorientated correctly the arrow onthe base of the regulatorindicates the direction of gasflow.

Checking the gas supplyIt takes additional time to lightthe gas for the first time. Air ispurged from the pipes.

1. Check if the manometer zero point iscorrect.

2. Connect the manometer to the cooktoppressure point. It is located on theregulator.

3. Turn on the gas supply and electricity,and try to ignite the gas.

4. While the appliance operates check thetest point pressure:

• when all burners of the applianceoperate at maximum,

• when the smallest burner of theappliance operates at minimum.

The outlet pressure should notvary from the nominal outletpressure of 1.00kPa by morethan +/–0.20kPa.

Checking the regulatorIf the regulator works incorrectly:• Adjust of upstream regulator if the outlet

and inlet pressure is too low or anupstream regulator or valve withinsufficient flow capacity is present in thegas supply line.Check again the inlet and test pointpressure, the inlet pressure needs to be1.13 - 5kPa.

• Check if the inlet and outlet is orientatedcorrectly the arrow on the base of theregulator indicates the direction of gasflow.

If the regulator still does not workcorrectly contact the After SalesService Provider.

Warning! Check if the hoseassembly is restrained fromaccidental contact with the flueoutlet of an oven or any otherhot surface of an adjacentappliance.

Gas setting conversion

You can check the parameters ofadjustment setting for thisappliance on the rating plate.Refer to the Technical datachapter.

You can use this model withnatural gas. However, you canconvert it for use with othergases, providing the correctinjectors.

For more information on injectorreplacement, refer to the Technical datachapter.

Warning! Conversion orreplacement can only beperformed by a authorisedtechnician.

To replace injectors:1. Remove pan support.2. Remove burner cap and crown.3. Using a socket spanner 7, unscrew and

remove the injectors, and replace themwith the ones required for the type ofgas in use.

4. Reassemble the parts, following thesame procedure backwards.

5. Unscrew the top hat nut from theregulator (B). The top hat nut andcontrol pressure spring assembly isdisengage as an assembly.

6. Unscrew the threaded pin from top hat(C).

7. Upturn threaded pin, spring is free andscrew pin back into the top hat until firm(E).

8. Refit the top hat nut assembly to theregulator (G), check that it is fullyscrewed down. The regulator is now setfor connection to LPG (H).

9. Turn on the gas supply. Use soapywater to check for leaks. Each hotplatevalve should be turned on, one at atime, and the injector hole blanked offfor several seconds.

10. The operation of the regulator can beconfirmed by connecting a manometerto the pressure test point located on theside of the regulator body adjacent tothe outlet.

If the feeding gas pressure isdifferent or variable from therequired one, you must install anappropriate pressure adjuster,which is not supplied with theproduct. If needed, it must beordered separately from thelocal After Sales Service Provider,refer to the Guarantee chapter.The pressure adjuster must befitted on gas supply pipe, incompliance with AS/NZS5601:2013.

The rating plate is located below thesurface of the casing.

Adjusting flame levelWhen you install the hob, it is necessary tocheck the minimum flame setting:1. Turn the gas tap to the maximum

position and ignite.2. Set the gas tap to the minimum flame

position and turn the control knob fromminimum to maximum several times. Ifthe flame is unstable or extinguished,follow the procedure further.

3. Re-ignite the burner and set tominimum.

4. Remove the control knob and thegasket.

5. To adjust, use a thin bladed screwdriverand turn the adjustment screw until theflame is steady and does not extinguish.When the knob is turned from minimumto maximum, and vice versa (seefollowing picture).

6. Repeat this procedure for all burners.

7. Reassemble the gasket and the knobs. Warning! If the appliance isconnected to LPG/U-LPG, theregulation screw must befastened as tightly as possible.
