Math operations
This lesson plan is to help students learn operations using technology tools. Most the students take long
time to understand operations because the way teachers usually teach them is not interesting for them.Students will learn operations playing, discussing, sharing ideas. In this way of teaching students won't
be bored, they will learn fast and they learn many things in small time. At the end of this lesson plan
student will be able to resolve operations of any digits.
Lesson plan grade 6, term 1, Math curriculum
Learning outcomes
Students will:
Master operations in good environment using technological tools Improve their confidence using presentations
Think like teachers in preparing exercises and correct them.

Activities
1. Tell students to prepare exercises on operations on paper (30 exercises). The teacher should tell
students to prepare exercise according what he wants to start teaching students. For example: they
can prepare exercise on multiplication.2. Tell students to give those exercises to his neighbor
3. Tell them to solve those exercises
4. Tell them to discuss each work of student as group
5. Tell them to create math game in memorize on operations
6. Tell them to switch their XO and play the game
7. Give time to students to ask the teacher questions that they might have. Before to answer any
question teacher has to check if there is any student who is able to answer that question.
8. Tell them to play tux math 2 by 2.
NB: - Make sure to follow what students are doing and try to help them proving ideas whenever will be
necessary.- Make sure that all students are participating in group work.
Assessment
Assessment for this activity consists in:
How students are participating in group works.
How students will act in group proving ideas, solving operations and helping each other will show
teacher to assess how they are improving in operations
Teacher must tell each student to go in front of the class so his colleagues can ask him questions
on operations. How students will answer these questions will help the teacher to assess thework of kids.
How students will discuss on difficult questions as group. If the question they ask to the student in
front is difficult, they can solve it as a group. This will help the teacher to assess how they
understood operations.
How students will do the homework given by teachers. Teacher will give homework related on
operations in order to assess the work of kids. Homework has to be on operation students have
studied, it can be on additional or multiplication. If they studied addition and multiplication at the
same day, teacher has to give home work on both and at least 40 questions.

Then click playif you want to play or click exit ifyou don't want to continue.

After clicking on play alone you see many options but you have to click on math command training
academy to choose what kind of operations.
Here you see many kinds of operation like addition, subtraction, multiplication. You have to choose
however you want. Let'schoose addition two digits numbers.
Then operations start to fall, you see 12 + 17 and 16 + 17. You have to type answer of operation then
click enter in order to shoot, for example: 29. If you type wrong answer you lose target.
You don't have to let operations get on ground. You have to you use your mind and brain to type
answers fast in order to reduce operations are appearing on screen.
If operations get on ground you lose. It means game get over and you start again.
You can see how tuxmath motivate students to learn math in easy way.
- Teacher should know importance of working in groups
StudentsIn order for students to fulfill this task, they should tried before to use those activities (memorize and tuxmath) . Students must have their own laptops so that they can find time to explore those activities. When
students are at home they can find more time than at school to learn themselves some of activities.
