Leveling Math
We have two enrichment classes and three grade level classes this year.Classes have been leveled by administration based on curriculum assessments such as Math in Focus unit assessments, and theme tests in connection with our Houghton Mifflin anthologies, district benchmarks and performance on PSSAs
Enrichment: a student performing at the enrichment level solves complex problems and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the skills, concepts, and procedures for that grade level. These students can break content down into its component pieces, and use it purposefully in new situations.
Grade-level: a student performing at grade level solves problems and demonstrates an understanding of the skills, concepts and procedures for that grade level. These students are able to solve practical and real world problems .
