Math 2 F.IF.9, A.CED.1 Assessment Title: Quadratic Representations Unit 2: Quadratic Functions: Representations Learning Targets: I can compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way Directions 1. You will receive information for a quadratic in one of five forms. (a) Table (b) Graph (c) Vertex Form (d) Standard Form (e) Factored Form 2. Your mission is to find the person in the room with the equivalent function. 3. Once your ‘match’ has been found your job is to recognize and produce the three missing formats from the list above. 4. If you do not have a ‘match’ in the room, you must partner with the others (there will be others) who did not have a match. Your challenge will be to manipulate one piece of information in one of the forms to create equivalent functions. Once this has been accomplished continue to produce the other forms as stated in #3. (This is provided as an extension/optional exercise) Included items for Activity: Cards containing all five forms of functions so teachers may pick which two to hand out. (This will help make checking easier) 2 sets of ‘error’ cards (last two pages). Note: last box provides opportunity for error box to be handed out.

1. You will receive information for a quadratic in one of five forms.

(e) Factored Form

2. Your mission is to find the person in the room with the equivalent function.

3. Once your ‘match’ has been found your job is to recognize and produce the three missing formats
