Master Teacher designation:• Status for 5 years• Transferable in Ohio• Teacher needs to maintain eligibility

National Board Certification and the Master Teacher:• NBC teachers can be reported as

What happens after I submit my application?• The District Master Teacher
Committee (DMTC) holds two “readings” annually: Winter and “readings” annually: Winter and Spring
• Each application is read and scored by all 7 DMTC members. Scores are both averaged and analyzed for large variations between scorers
• Consensus is reached by the team on a score for each applicant in each area
