Mathew was and Irish immigrant. At the age of 16 he studied under William Page. When he got older Mathew opened up a photography studio.

In 1862 most of Mathews work was pictures from battle of Atnietam. Later he took many pictures of the American civil war. Mathew Brady photographed 18 out of 19 presidents at the time.

Julia was a Indian woman who became a photographer making her a British photographer. Julia's photography career lasted a total of eleven years. She started photographing at the age of 48.

Many of her pictures are done using sepia tones. All The people she photographs have a very natural look to them .Her pictures in my opinion show how simple she might have lived.

Dorothea Lange would photograph the poor men and women during the great depression. Art and literature were big parts of Lange’s upbringing. By 1918 Lange was living in san Francisco and soon running a successful portrait studio.

Alexander Rodchenko entered the Kazan school of fines arts for his interest in photography in 1910 and graduated in 1914. in 1915 Rodchenko moved to Moscow and enrolled in the Graphic section of the Stroganov School of Applied Art. From 1917 to 1921 Rodchenko had his own exhibition called exhibition of works by Rodchenko. Rodchenko took up a different type of art called photomontage. he started creating his own photography and received many graphic design commissions for book covers and posters, in 1923

Rodchenko’s art had a lot of patter in it. Any photo he took had to have some type of pattern.

Born in Switzerland around the time of wwII Nazism, frank turned to photography of means to escape the confines of his business-oriented family and home. Frank immigrated to the United States in 1947 and secured a job in new York city as a fashion photographer for Harpers Bazaar. Soon left to south America and Europe to shoot more pictures than returned to America in 1950. later frank married Mary Lockspeiser and had to children Pablo and Andrea. Later divorced.

Frank’s work was more the lifestyle of people. Everyday people doing everyday things.

Lennar Nilsson is a pioneer in medical photography. He has documented the inside of man down to the level of a cell. Beginning his career as a photojournalist in the middle of the 1940’s. he was under contract as a photographer from 1965-1972. Nilsson has established an international reputation for his films for television on the human body, but he has also directed his attention to the animal world and the plant and insect world. Nilsson received a lot of eminent awards and prizes for his photographic work.. Nilsson received the 12th presentation of the Swedish government’s Illis Quorum, in 2002. the Swedish Government awards Lennart Nilsson the honorary title of professor, in 2009.

Many people liked lennart Nilsson's work. I find it quite strange. It is in color and it is the fetal process of mankind in the womb.

Richard Avedon was born in new York city. In 1944 Avedon began working as an advertising photographer for a department store, but was discovered by the art director for the fashion magazine Harper's bazaar. In 1945 his photographs started showing in junior bazaar and than later on in bazaar itself. In 1946 Avedon set up his own studio and provided picture for other magazines. He's soon became the chief photographer for Harper's bazaar.

Photographs contain people in them,. They are black and white images. More modern looking.

Jerry ueslmann was born in Detroit Michigan. While attending public school, at the age of 14 ueslmann’s interest in photography sparked. While in school he managed to get a couple of photography gigs. When grown he started teaching photography at the university of Florida in 1960. in 1967 ueslmann had his first solo exhibit at the museum of modern art.

His artwork looks very magical. Looks unbelievably real. His artwork is in black and white.
