Thehealthcareindustryisconstantlychanging.Clinicalandnon-clinicalprofessionalswhounderstandthehealthcarebusinessmodelregardinghealthsystemsandprovidergroupsareinhighdemand.WKU-MHAatUPikeallowsmedicalstudentsattheUniversityofPikeville,aswellasthosecompletingtheirresidencyprogram,toearnamaster’sdegreeinhealthadministrationandmanagementalongsidetheirmedicaldegree.

The42-hourprogramatWKUofferscourseworkcenteredonpreparingstudentswithpracticalknowledgethatcanbeappliedtofunctionalareasofhealthcaremanagement.Theseareasincludequalityimprovement,humanresources,finance,leadershipandstrategicplanninginhospitals,long-termcarefacilities,medicalsales,consulting,insurancefirmsandotherhealthcareentities.

TheMHAatUpikeprogramisdesignedtomeettheneedsofmedicalstudentswithaconvenientscheduleatapacethatworksbestduringthemedicalorresidencyprogram.
