The Dalby Farm Experience is an interactive learning program for children ages K-8 grade. Our farm provides an ideal environment for children to 'experience' learning through hands-on farm and nature activities, games and crafts. The Dalby Farm Experience offers a different theme every day. The presentation, activities, crafts and stories often are designed to reinforce and coincide with the presented subject matter so that the child has fun while learning. On the last day of the session, we have ‘Family Picnic Day’ where the participants’ families are invited to visit the farm; each child is encouraged to show them what they have learned as well as introduce them to the animals on the farm. Children will enter a world of discovery and through this, will learn to appreciate the value of conservation and preservation of nature's wonders and all that our world has to offer. It is Dalby Farm's hope that each participant of the program will leave with an increased knowledge and understanding of plants and animals. Our role is not necessarily growing crops and animals but rather raising awareness of the critical role that nature plays in our world. The 'Experience' is offered to children entering grades K-8 . The program is divided into groups by grade levels and is offered, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

2020 Dates Monday, July 20th - Thursday, July 23rd Monday, July 27th - Thursday, July 30th

Join us at Dalby Farm for exciting, fun-filled days of nature and animal discovery. Learn to appreciate the importance of conservation and preservation through hands-on activities. Explorer (K, 1st, 2nd) Learn about farm animals and their habitats and explore them through your senses. Hear the rooster crow and feel the softness of sheep's wool. Discoverer (3rd, 4th, 5th) Do you know how the Egyptians used pigs to plant their crops? Learn about plants and farm animals and discover their role on the farm and their importance in our everyday life. Caregiver ( 6th, 7th, 8th) Join in and learn about the ways of, care and upkeep of the animals on the farm. Find out how to recognize poison ivy plants and see how to trim a goat's hoof. Program Fee: $285.00 per session per child. Each program participant should bring along a trash-free boxed lunch and drink. We also recommend each child bring a refillable water bottle that can be used throughout the day, as needed. We will provide a drink and a morning snack for each participant. Extended Day: Ask us for our rates if you need additional coverage. Pre-registration is required. Please note: The majority of 'The Experience' takes place outside and each program participant will partake in outdoor activities, walk on wooded trails and will have contact with farm animals. TO, UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING: • I understand that my child may not attend the program until Dalby Farm receives all of the properly

completed forms and any and all outstanding payments. • I understand that the Program Director reserves the right to dismiss a participant if, in her judgment, the

• I understand that I cannot send my child to Dalby Farm when he/she is ill. • I give permission for my child to receive first aid treatment as needed and I authorize them to be taken to

a doctor or hospital and treated if I, or my emergency contact, cannot be reached in an emergency.
