Top Image Systems: Pre-Crowdsourcing Dilema

!  ECM software reduces the need for human intervention, but still requires skilled workers to tune.

›  EnBW OBJECTIVES:  Increase number of digitized documents without increasing number of employees  Ensure sufficient level of data protection: Outside EnBW network are only

anonymous snippets. Only inside EnBW systems are snippets and business data connected.

In Summary: eFLOW CrowdBridge at EnBW

!  EnBW has traditionally implemented eFLOW to process invoices, read electricity meters and optimize other document processing operations;

!  Validation of questionable data has been done manually;

!  EnBW has begun to move validation to the crowd   First use case: eFLOW CrowdBridge processes anonymous

snippets of stamps on envelopes sent back by the postal service;   CrowdBridge crops the relevant content / snippet from envelopes

and uploads to crowd. To ensure tight data security, snippets uploaded to crowd are completely separated from source and have no identifying information;

  Within 6 minutes an entire batch of items was accepted as hits and validated; achieved validation accuracy of 100%.
