CASA VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

When home is no longer safe, and a child must enter the foster care system, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer called a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) who assists in navigating the way for abused and neglected children—out of the over-burdened child welfare system and into safe, permanent homes. CASA of the South Plains will be conducting a training series: July 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 5:30 pm—9:30 pm, Please call the office at 806-763-2272 to register or get more information.

From the book of Catholic jokes...

Little Jonnie was coming home from church one Sunday morning with his mother. His mother noticed he had a very serious look on his face. “What’s on your mind, Jonnie?” she asked. “Is it true what Father said about us all coming from dust and turning back to dust?” “Yes, it is, Jonnie,” she said. “Why do you ask?” “Well, when we get home,” he answered, “You better look under my bed, because someone’s either comin’ or goin’!”
