Ember Days are on the Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday following the First Sunday in Lent and Pentecost Sunday, during the third full week of September, and after the Third Sunday of Advent. Dress Code Elder Care Seminars for Seniors Citizens and their Families
at St. Joan of Arc
We want to foster the greatest reverence and respect for Our Lord at Mater Ecclesiae. Our attire is an outward expression of our love for the Lord and shows how important He is to us. It is also a sign of our respect for the House of God. Therefore, one should always wear their “Sunday Best” to Mass: modesty, good taste and common sense should prevail. Accordingly, the following rules apply:
in Marlton
What kind of care is best for my parents or spouse? What does Medicare cover? How can I protect my assets? Find the answers to these questions and more during our Senior Care Seminars.
• NO SHORTS, EVER, FOR MEN, WOMEN OR CHILDREN.
Skilled Nursing Home and Rehab – • Women: No revealing clothing, low necklines, short
skirts or bare midriffs. Please dress modestly with dignity and self-respect. We strongly suggest that women wear a head covering.
Wed., June 15, at 7:00 PM in Pedata Hall – Paying for a nursing home, what type of services can you expect, what are your rights, and more. • Men: No tattered, soiled work clothes, old jeans or
gym clothes. Please wear “business or business casual attire” to set a good example for our young men and boys.
End of Life Issues/Hospice/Palliative Care – Wed., June 22, at 7:00 PM in the church. How do I know if hospice or palliative care is the right choice? When should I call a priest? What does the Church have to say about end of life issues? For more information, contact Pat at 856-424-6234 or Effie at [email protected].
EMERGENCY EMAIL LIST
If you have not already done so, please sign up for email notifications of emergency closing and announcements. If the past few weeks have taught us anything, it is that the only way to notify parishioners in a timely manner of emergency cancellations is through the website and email notifications.
Food Donations and Volunteers Requested
We need volunteers to organize and distribute on a regular basis the donated food items in our Food Pantry. A small area will be set aside in the back storage area of Bishop DiMarzio Hall for the Food Pantry. It will include shelves to organize the food items and a drop-off spot
for all future food donations. Forms are located in the Narthex. Please return the completed forms to the Rectory Office. If you can spare some time to help with this, please
contact the Rectory Office:
