Novice Class ‐ shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class. A first place in Novice without competition leading to a Best Junior award with competition would count as one win towards moving to Open at a licensed or member show. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after the closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent or Show Secretary at least one‐half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Open Class ‐ shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class or if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competi‐tion present it will count as one win towards moving to Open in a licensed or member show. Master Class ‐ for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.
NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Depart‐ment (919) 233‐9767.

There will be Puppy, Bred By Exhibitor, and Open Classes for each of the Miscellaneous Breeds in each sex.
Winners from these classes will compete for Best of Breed & Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed in each breed. Each Miscellaneous Best of Breed winner shall be eligible to compete for Best in Miscellaneous Class. All entries for Best in Miscellaneous Class shall be made a er judging of the individual Miscellaneous breed classes. In the event that the owner of a dog designated Best of Breed shall not exhibit the dog in the Best of Miscellaneous Class Compe on, no other dog of the same breed shall be allowed to compete. There shall be no further compe on for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class. Ribbons shall conform to Chapter 5, Sec on 2 of AKC Rules.
USE OF RAMPS A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table, or ramp). At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: American Water Spaniels, Lagotto Romagnolo, Clumber Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Cirneco dell’Etna, American Staffordshire Terriers, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terri‐ers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Finnish Spitz, Keeshonden, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheep‐dogs, Spanish Water Dogs, and Norrbottenspets (Misc.). At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp, or on a table: Boykin Spaniels and Whippets. The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Sussex Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar‐Pei, and Chow Chows. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 Month Beginner Puppy Competi‐tion, the AKC National Owner‐Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situation to judge any breed. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. For the judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breeds.

Gateway Hound Club Sweepstakes
Requirements The Gateway Hound Club Sweepstakes is open to all Hound Breeds between the ages of 6 months and under 18 months on the day of the show. Dogs shown in Sweepstakes must also be entered in one of the Regular classes under the same event number on the regular entry form. Indicate Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space provided for "Additional Classes". Champions of Record are eligible to compete.
Dogs in Each Hound Breed will be judged in separate Sweepstakes Classes. The Sweepstakes classes will be judged prior to the regular breed classes for each eligible Hound Breed. There will be a Best in Sweepstakes in each Breed. Best in Sweepstakes in Each Breed will Compete for Best in Group Sweepstakes.

Best of Breed Competition
Award of Merit At both the Independent Specialty Show and the Concurrent Specialty Show, the judge may, at his/her discretion, select a certain number of dogs and/or bitches to receive an “Award of Merit”. The maximum number of such awards that the judge may bestow is computed at 10% of the dogs/bitches, rounded downward, entered for Best of Breed Competition at the time of entry closing, disregarding absentees or transfers from the classes.
USE OF RAMPS The following breed must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Chinese Shar‐Pei. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner‐Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions.

Requirements & Classification
Puppy Sweepstakes are open to all Dalmatians 6 months old and under 18 months old on the day of the show.
Veteran Sweepstakes are open to all Dalmatians 7 years old and over on the day of the show.
Dogs shown in Sweepstakes MUST be entered in a regular class at the regular entry fee on Friday, September 15, 2017. Dogs shown in Veteran Sweepstakes MUST be entered in a regular class or veterans at the regular entry fee on Friday, September 15, 2017. Indicate your Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space provided for "Additional Classes".
The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches: Junior, 6 months & under 9 months • Junior, 9 months & under 12 months
Senior, 12 months & under 15 months • Senior, 15 months & under 18 months Veterans, 7‐10 years • Veterans, 10+ years
Sweepstakes Prizes (Applicable to both Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes)
Division of Entry Money as Prizes After 35 % has been deducted for administration expenses, awards will be as follows (based on number of entries)
First – 50%; Second – 25%; Third – 10%; Fourth – 5%.
After deduction for class awards, the remaining monies will be divided equally between the Best Junior and the Best Senior.
All trophies must be claimed the day of the show ‐ None will be mailed. Trophies not claimed will become the property of the show‐giving club. DCGSL reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

Please Note: Quiet Hours are from 11 PM to 6 AM. RVs may not move in or out during quiet hours.
Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri welcomes you to Purina Farms. Purina Farms has a great RV area. Please enjoy your stay and the shows.
Three Rivers Kennel Club will take reservations for RV parking spots, at Purina, which will be available from 3:00pm on Monday, September 11, through Saturday night, Sep‐tember 16, 2017. RVs must leave by 8:00pm on Sunday, September 17, 2017, unless other arrangements are made. Fee is $30.00 per night on the full service upper lot. Reservations received without payment will not be accepted. Handicapped accessible RV spaces NOT available. Reservations will be accepted until Wednesday, August 30th. The RV Reservation Form can be found on page 43. It is important to have an email address on the reservation form so notification of your spot can be sent. There are 74 parking spaces. Refunds will not be made after entries close. Overflow parking is locat‐ed on the gravel lots above the Main Show Field. The overflow lot is FREE but a RESER‐VATION is required. Spaces are first‐come; first‐served with a RESERVATION in spots 11‐44 with no assigned spots. The lot offers 30 and 50 amp electric. There will be no RV parking on any blacktop parking lot. No Tent Camping allowed.
All RVs will be REQUIRED to display a parking permit which will be handed out to those with reservations. The permits will be issued by Three Rivers Kennel Club. Please affix the permit to the door of the RV trailer or where it can be seen easily.
Tow vehicle must be disconnected from RVs during your visit. A maximum of 2 cars affiliated with the RV may park in the RV spot. Any vehicle parking in an RV spot and not affiliated with the RV will be asked to move or be towed at the owner’s expense.
In case of a medical emergency in the RV lot in the evening or during the night, please turn on the RV’s outside lights to help responders identify the RV. Call 314‐982‐2222 or 636‐221‐1428 to reach Purina security.
Groups wishing to be next to one another should send reservations in the same enve‐lope.
Exhibitors may not bring or use motorized vehicles, such as golf carts on Purina’s prop‐erty unless for a medical conditions. Documentation must be presented if requested by the staff at Purina. Such vehicles may not park on sidewalks.
If you grill close to your camper, please let the coals burn overnight. In the morning, bag them and put them in a trash container.
Your dogs’ safety is important. Please keep them on a leash or crated when not com‐peting in an event.
Exercise pens are not allowed around the Purina Event Center. Exercise pens on desig‐nated grassy areas should not have a floor or cover which could damage the grass.
AN EMERGENCY CONTACT FORM MUST BE ON EVERY RV VEHICLE. THE FORM CAN BE FOUND PAGE 45. Please limit the number of friends and visitors choosing to park by your RV. Do not block routes which may be needed by emergency vehicles.

Attention Exhibitors The Show site will be available to exhibitors from 4 PM to 6 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2017, and at 7 AM on Friday, September 15, 2017. Dogs and all equipment must be removed from the show site imme‐diately following Best in Show Judging of the Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri show on Sunday, Sep‐tember 17, 2017. A security guard will be in the building overnight on Thursday, Sep 14, Friday, Sep 15 and Sat, Sep 16, so dogs may be left in the Purina Event Center overnight on those evenings. Set up for grooming is available Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 4 PM to 6 PM. In accordance with AKC policy, each dog that is left in in the facility overnight must be identified with a tag stating the owner/agent name and where they can be reached in case of an emergency. In the event of multiple entries, one tag will be sufficient provided it clearly outlines the number of dogs & the area in which they are crated. A tag will be available at the Superintendent’s desk.
RV PARKING GUIDELINES There are seventy‐four RV parking spaces behind the Purina Event Center. The fee for parking is $30.00 per night. Reservations will be made to the Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri (see RV parking infor‐mation on Pages 43‐45). Overflow parking will be located on the gravel lots above the outdoor show site. All RVs will be REQUIRED to show permit to park issued by THREE RIVERS KENNEL CLUB OF MISSOURI. Anyone not displaying required permit will be removed from the show site. THERE WILL BE NO RV PARK‐ING ON ANY BLACKTOP PARKING LOT. THREE RIVERS KENNEL CLUB WILL BE IN CHARGE OF ALL PARKING FOR THIS EVENT. Reservations will be accepted until Wednesday, August 30, 2017. For THREE RIVERS KENNEL CLUB OF MISSOURI RV RESERVATIONS use the form on Page 43.
PARKING Exhibitor and visitor parking will be located on blacktop parking lots in front of the Purina Event Center. Vehicles are limited to one parking space. No Ex‐Pens or Crates allowed on blacktop, but are allowed on grass areas. No cones allowed in parking areas. No parking in roadways or next to building. The THREE RIVERS KENNEL CLUB OF MISSOURI PARKING COMMITTEE will be in charge of all parking for this event.
CRATING & GROOMING Grooming and crating in designated areas only. Reserved Grooming in the Purina Event Center will be 5x10 feet sites with electric on each site. The fee for reserved grooming area is $25.00 for the entire event. Reservations may be made to the Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri (see grooming area applica‐tion on Page 47) There are a limited number of free grooming spaces (no electric) on a first come basis. Chairs will not be allowed in FREE grooming area. Bathing of dogs limited to bathing area, located next to grooming area. No dogs allowed in bathrooms. Dogs may be left in the building overnight Thursday, Sep 14, Friday, Sep 15 and Sat, Sep 16. There will be a Security Guard. The Building will be locked at 10 pm and opened at 6 am. Reservations will be accepted until Wednesday, August 30, 2017. NO CRATES MAY BE PLACED DIRECTLY ON THE FLOORING SURFACE IN THE GREAT HALL. THERE MUST BE PLASTIC OR A RUG UNDER THE CRATE. ALL GROOMING TABLES MUST HAVE RUBBER OF PLASTIC CAPS ON THE END OF THE LEGS OF THE TABLE. No cones are allowed inside building. NO Ex‐Pens allowed inside building at any time. NO SOFT‐SIDED CRATES ALLOWED. Please stack your crates and limit number of tables. All vehi‐cles must leave their headlights on while unloading. All exhibitors must abide by the 15‐minute unloading/loading parking time limit designated around the Purina Event Center. NO VEHICLES MAY BE PARKED NEXT TO BUILDING OR IN ANY ROADWAY. VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AT OWNER’S EXPENSE.
EXHIBITORS & GUESTS No one is permitted anywhere that is marked “Employees Only” and/or “No Admittance.” These are separate divisions of Purina and are not part of the show grounds. No person or dogs are allowed on the second floor of the Purina Event Center. There are no baby strollers allowed inside the building. No cones allowed inside building. No firearms allowed on Purina Property. No outside food or beverage is allowed in the Purina Event Center or other venues. Violators will be reported to the AKC. No Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) in the Building. No helium balloons allowed in either Hall. No glitter or confetti allowed in the facility. No Duct Tape to be used in the facility. Only painter’s tape or gaffer’s tape may be used.
HOTELS Exhibitors are expected to maintain their premises & their dogs (both at hotels & on the show grounds) in a quiet, clean & well‐kept manner. Hotels have requested to report violations to the show‐giving clubs. Offenses may result in an Event Committee hearing.
All trophies must be claimed the day of the show ‐ None will be mailed. Trophies not claimed will become the property of the show‐giving club.
The Clubs reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
The Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event.

CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTER‐NATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS.
A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.50 AKC Recording Fee will be required for the first entry in Rally and $3.00 for each additional entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 5). A $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in 4‐6 Month Beginner Puppy. These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.
RETURNED CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry. The Superintendent will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check and credit card. Subsequent returned checks and credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a cash‐only basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.
No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturb‐ances, fire, extreme and or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent.
No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.
Refunds made for cancellation of entries before the closing date will be subject to a $3.00 administrative/processing fee per entry.
No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its ac‐ceptance. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable.

Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.
The show giving club, the Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or property, and
