y Age isnt a constraint to excel as an entrepreneur and

thats what happened in the life of Mr. Veluchammy,the

owner of Marx Engineering Works,Chinna

Vedampatti.y His early days began in a remote village near

Tharapuram.From there he graduated as engineer

from reputed P.S.G. College Of Technology, Coimbatore.

y After spending a span of two decades in industrial life

at Chennai & Coimbatore, his burning desire of

venturing his own firm & deep inside him.

y Owing to financial constraints he couldnt able to doso. At that time he got the opportunity to administer a

firm which got weakened & took over by a foreign

company in Coimbatore where he was given 6% stake

in the firm for salary.

y With his spirit & effort in a span of 3 years he made the

firm to be on profitable track.

y Then he came out with the amount he earned as 6%

stake and invested it in his new venture MarxEngineering Works.

y C.N.C. Lathes were new in the market and he daringly

took that as his business. He decided to manufacture

complex components using it.

y In the millennium with million dollar dreams he

started it up, where he faced a loss of 3 lakhs initially.

y Then came the turning point, export orders flowed like

rain to his firm way back in 2003.That put head ontrack of success. In the year the company grew up to

35% in terms of profit, export. Now the annual

turnover of his firm is 45 crores.

y The CM group of industries is owned by

Mr. Mani, Mr. Paramasivam.

y They started there business life entry into the ferrous

and non-ferrous scrap trade.

y 1992 -the group venture into steel production with the

establishment of 2 Induction Melting Furnaces for the

manufacture of MS Ingots.

y The next logical step forward was the production of steelproducts with a unit to manufacture CTD bars.

y The initial two units were set up at

Paragon steel (Palakkad)

y Now they have about six units in India and there units out sideIndia .

They are one among the top steel production group in TamilNadu.

range of products including TMT Bars, Flats, Squares,

Rounds and Angles.

y The CM Gr oup's production infrastructure todayencompasses 6 units with a capacity to produce 2.5

lakhs TPA ofMS Ingots & Steels Products.
