YOUR WEDDING CELEBRATION

The ceremony is one of the most important details of a wedding. There are different types of ceremonies to choose from. Just pick the one that suits your needs best, tell us your special wishes and requests, and our experienced team will assist you organizing the ceremony.

Civil Ceremonyyou do not have to be a Portuguese citizen to get married in Portugal. civil ceremonies can be organised easily for non-residents too. For further info on the procedure of having a civil ceremony, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with all additional information necessary.

Religious WeddingWedding ceremonies of different religions can also be organised. This could be done either at Martinhal or in case of a christian/catholic ceremony it can take place in one of the nearby churches.

BlessingIf you are looking for a symbolic blessing done by a celebrant in the languageof your choice, then Martinhal is again your perfect venue. The blessing can be kept very casual or formal in character, similar to a civil ceremony. Besides the official speeches of the celebrant, the blessing can include exchanging of individual vows and rings, music, and much more. The format of the blessing can be entirely determined by you. It is all up to you.

Oceanfront platformLocated between Hotel Martinhal and Martinhal beach and with stunning views over the ocean, this deck offers you the perfect background for your ceremony. The deck can hold a wedding up to 60 people and can be decorated to your taste.

Deck O TerraçoThe outdoor terrace adjacent to o Terraço, 5 star Hotel Martinhal’s restaurant, offers breathtaking views over the Beach club pool and Martinhal Bay and it is the ideal venue for a ceremony up to 50 people.

Vila do Bispo ChurchThe Vila do Bispo church, located at 10 min from Martinhal, is a Baroque church with gilded wood and walls decorated with beautiful “azulejos” (hand painted tiles), dating from the 16th century. It is the most romantic location for a catholic ceremony of up to 120 people.

RECEPTION LOCATIONS

Banqueting room - our modern function room located on the first floor of our Village Square with natural light and panoramic views of the Resort. Maximum capacity of 100 guests.

O Terraço - For a sophisticated wedding venue we suggest o Terraço, located on the first floor of Hotel Martinhal, with stunning views over Martinhal Bay. o Terraço provides you with an elegant space that can accommodate up to 120 people, service is discreet and courteous and the food is refined.

As Dunas - our stylish beach restaurant is a truly unique location for your wedding celebration. It has a marvellous wooden deck overlooking Martinhal beach and the Atlantic ocean and can cater for groups between 60 and 120 people.

Os Gambozinos - our Italian restaurant situated in the heart of the Resort, at the Village Square. Maximum capacity of 60 guests.

- All prices above are valid for a minimum of 30 people and a maximum of 120 people and include the following hours of service:

• Weddings – 8 hours service (from estimated arrival time) and until 24h00m; extra service hours - a supplement of 5% per hour/ person will be applied.

MENU TASTING Menu tastings must be booked and confirm upon availability 1 month in advance and are available for a maximum of 4 people. For more than 4 people, the hotel offers 50% discount on the value of the chosen tasting menu.

NOISE POLICY AND MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT: - due to Resort’s noise policy and license, music sound is allowed until the following times:• Restaurant o Terraço – 23:00 • Restaurant As dunas – 23:00 • Banqueting Room – 23:00

- Taking into account the policies and legal limits for noise and if the event will have musical entertainment, customers will be responsible for require a noise permit on the city council and deliver a copy to the hotel. - The hotel can help in this process but for legal reasons cannot make any warrantees or take any responsibilities with this regard.- For live public entertainment with music it is necessary to request a license to the SPA (Portuguese Authors Society). The hotel can help in this process but for legal reasons cannot make any warrantees or take any responsibilities with this regard.- The hotel does not accept liablilty for any entertainment that is not booked directly with the hotel. However, it is essential that all entertainment arrangements have the approval of the hotel management before the date of its receipt. All entertainment must provide their own equipment and accept full responsibility. AUDIOVISUAL EqUIPMENT The rental of audio-visual equipment can be provided by the Hotel. The specifications and needs of equipment should be reported with the necessary anticipation. Should the client decide to rent and directly install the equipment, the Hotel cannot be held responsible for the quality of this equipment or for the technical assistance.

DECORATION AND FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS Wedding ceremonies with more than 50 guests include table flower arrangements for the bride & groom’s table and the printing of menus. The Hotel can provide the personalized printing of menus and guest list upon request. The Hotel can, however, present suggestions and quotations for complete or partial decoration. Should the client wish to contract an outside decoration coordinator, this will have to be submitted to the Hotels approval previously.

CATERING due to hygiene and food safety policies in force, we cannot allow the entrance or exit of food and beverages from the hotel premises.

PAYMENT CONDITIONS - To guarantee your reservation and confirm the date, we ask that you pay a deposit of 1.500€ on booking.

• 30% of the total package - 90 days before event day; • 50% of the total package - 60 days before event day; • Remaining – 30 days before the event

- If payment is not done within mentioned conditions, the resort reserves the right to cancel the booking.

The deposit will confirm acceptance of the reservation and confirm the booking. In case of cancellation the deposit is not refundable. The transfer of the additional payment to an alternative date should the event be postponed is at the discretion of the hotel.

ExCLUSIVITY :- Some of the event rooms venues in Martinhal Beach Resort & Hotel are subject to specific conditions, namely the exclusive booking and payment of the event space. DAMAGEThe hotel doesn’t take any responsibility for property that is not signed and registered.

The hotel does not accept responsibility for any gifts, cards, cake, etc left at the hotel.
