Bachelor’s Degree centralised on studying the development of modern electronic products and systems with included subjects such as: Analogue Analysis and Design; Micro controllers and Programmable Logic; Control Systems Analysis; Engineering Mathematics; Algorithms and Programming; Group Design Project; Analogue and Digital Communications and Writing and Research in the Workplace.

This course combines the theoretical study, practical based experiments and project work, which develops transferable skills in:

• Conducting individual research using a variety of tools and resources such as component data sheets for building circuits and understanding the theory to how these components work.

• Collaborating with other students both in the same class and outside the class in groups of 10+ people to contribute and manage deadlines, task assignments and progress reports on building a new device based on the internet of things.

• Presenting structured and well worded reports for every experiment conducted in the practical labs for projects such as programming PIC chips for an audio filter, C Programming for a traffic light system, mathematical theories for creating an oscillator or logic gates for a digital counter.

• Interacting with new and familiar software tools to develop skills with simulating the circuits or theory such as Multisim, Matlab, MPLab and Autodesk for 3D printed designs and testing circuits before building them.

• Conducting critical thinking and research into planning and writing documents typically required for employment applications and workplace environments.
