A MESSAGE FROM MARSHALL HEALTHIn our 2016 Provider Directory, our goal is to bring you the information you want to know about our physicians, their specialties and, most importantly, how to refer your patients to the right specialists.
The Marshall Health mission is unique. We are here to support the clinical, educational, research and service missions of the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in order to build a healthier tomorrow.
What you might not know about Marshall Health may surprise you. Marshall Health attracts patients from West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky, other surrounding states and beyond. Last year, there were nearly 475,000 patient visits to one or more of our 250 health care providers, including 53,000 new patient visits.* We will also expand our services to include dentistry later this year. Marshall Heath is the largest, most comprehensive provider group in our region, offering care in more than 65 specialties and subspecialties. And, as you can see from this directory, Marshall Health experienced tremendous growth in all of its departments during the past year. Amid this growth, patient satisfaction remains a priority at Marshall Health. In 2016, all of our clinical departments will administer a patient satisfaction survey so that we can celebrate our strengths and make continued improvements in areas most important to our patients. If you have suggestions on improving our service to you and your patients, please contact us.
The research enterprise at the school of medicine is also thriving, which means new advancements in patient care are happening right here at Marshall. Our basic scientists and physician researchers work hand-in-hand to advance life-changing discoveries. We currently have 41 active clinical trials from bone disease to multiple sclerosis to various forms of cancer. To learn more, call 304-691-1836.
We look forward to partnering with you in 2016 and beyond. We value our relationship with our referring physicians and thank you for entrusting your patients’ care to our team. To refer a patient to one of our specialists, please call the Physician Referral Line at 304-691-5333. For more information about Marshall Health, visit www.MarshallHealth.org.
