Refrain:
Verses: Choir
O come and sing to God, the Lord, To him our voices raise; O sing to him with joyful songs, The Lord, our savior praise. R.
Before his presence let us come, With thankful voice acclaim the Lord with grateful hearts, O praise him and rejoice. R.
He is a great and mighty King, above all gods his throne; The depths of earth are in his hand, The mountains are his own. R.
To him the mighty sea belongs, He made its waves, and by his hand the rising land was formed, and still abides. R.
O come, and bowing down to him, Our worship let us bring;O kneel before our Lord and God, Our maker and our King. R.
Our God is King of all the earth, So listen to his voice; our Shepherd, we, his flock; Sing praises and rejoice. R.

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain wisdom of heart.Turn back, O LORD! How long? Show pity to your servants.
At dawn, fill us with your merciful love; we shall exult and rejoice all our days.Give us joy for the days of our affliction, for the years when we looked upon evil.
Let your deed be seen by your servants, and your glorious power by their
children.Let the favor of the Lord our God be
upon us; give success to the work of our hands. O give success to the work of our
hands.

Deacon: The Lord be with you. All: And with your spirit.Deacon: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark. All: Glory to you, O Lord.
GosPel Mark 10:17-30
The entire assembly remains standing after the proclamation of the Gospel until the Archbishop kisses the Book of the Gospels and blesses the assembly. They gesture themselves with the sign of the cross as the Archbishop raises
the Book to impart the blessing. All are then seated for the homily.
Homily Most Reverend Leonard P. Blair Archbishop of Hartford

The Order of Blessing a M arried CoupleDeacon: Let those who are celebrating wedding anniversaries, please stand.
Archbishop: My dear brothers and sisters on the anniversary of that celebration at which you joined your lives in an unbreakable bond through the Sacrament of Matrimony, you now intend to renew before the Lord the promises you made to one another. Turn to the Lord in prayer, that these vows may be strengthened by divine grace. Husbands: (repeat after the Archbishop) Blessed are you, Lord for by your goodness I took (Name) as my wife.
Wives: (repeat after the Archbishop) Blessed are you, Lord for by your goodness I took (Name) as my husband.
Both: Blessed are you, Lord, for in the good and the bad times of our life you have stood lovingly by our side. Help us, we pray, to remain faithful in our love for one another, so that we may be true witnesses to the covenant you have made with humankind. (spouses face one another and join hands for the Blessing)
Archbishop: Let us Pray, Increase and sanctify, Lord the love of your servants, that they may always grow in the grace of the Sacrament of Marriage. Keep them safe all the days of their lives. Be their comfort in adversity, and support in prosperity. And fill their homes and families with your blessings. Through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

This Marriage Eric WhitacreMay these vows and this marriage be blessed. May it be sweet milk, this marriage, like wine and halvah. May this marriage offer fruit and shade like the date palm. May this marriage be full of laughter, our every day a day in paradise. May this marriage be a sign of compassion, a seal of happiness, here and hereafter. May this marriage
have a fair face and a good name, an omen as welcomes the moon in a clear blue sky. I am out of words to describe how spirit mingles in this marriage.
invitation to Prayer
Archbishop: Pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.
All: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.
I believe in one God,the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth,of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, (all bow) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was
buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Prayer to st. micHael
All: St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

A Marriage PrayerGod, we thank you for your tremendous gift of the Sacrament of Matrimony.
Help us to witness to its glory by a life of continued growth and intimacy. Teach us the beauty of forgiveness so we may become more and more
ONE IN HEART, MIND, AND BODY. Strengthen and help us become living signs of your love with our church so we may renew the body of Christ.
Make us a sign of unity in the name of Jesus our Lord and Brother. Dear Lord, we put Our Marriage into your hands. Amen.
With Warmest Congratulations from the Archdiocese of Hartford
