“Long charter” specials —It was so successful last season that we are running this
again. We reward the client who charters for longer with more discount. The “Long
Charter” discount structure is as follows.
Those who want to take a little more time to see the Sounds are rewarded with
greater discounts. Our return clients (within the last calendar year) are of course enti-
tled to their standard 10% discount and if you haven't been with us for a couple or
more we are now offering a 5% return client discount no matter when you came. We
need proof of your last charter with us.
NB: Our “Return Clients” discount is not able to be used with any other specials.

5.4m called “Slingshot II” and a 2005 Bayliner ski boat called “Bowrider” which
have joined our fleet. See below for more details.
"Okoromai", - At 10.42m overall length, the 35ft is aimed squarely at the centre of the family cruis-ing and sailboat charter market. It has been de-signed by Marc Lombard, one of the hot names on the Open 50 and 60 long-haul racing scene, indi-cating that sailing performance has been taken se-riously. carrier, with the large volume interior space allocated effectively to suit bareboat char-ter in the three-cabin layout.
Go ahead and treat the family to a cruise they will never forget!
We have a new ski boat to the fleet—
“Bowrider”, a Bayliner 205 and a sort after
model. Sporting bold looks and sharp design, it
truly stands out on the water. The roomy cockpit
and bow make the perfect haven for all-day es-
capes on the water. If water sports are your
game, “Bowrider” comes to play with a 5.0L MPI
engine and the smoothest ride you can get.
And we have a NEW (literally) runabout. A 2011 Fi-Glass Cavalier 5.4m
called "Slingshot II”. The combination of great looks, comfort, handling and
room to spare make it easier to enjoy the rewards of being out on the water with
family and friends. The handling characteris-
tics of this boat are the envy of many, provid-
ing seamless performance and comfort with a
sporting flare of a true thoroughbred. It all
adds up to a less strenuous day on the water.
“Slingshot II” is brand new from the factory.
Try out her Mercury 115HP 4 stroke with fuel
management system!
"Zachary Hicks” has had a brand new Volvo D2
20HP engine installed. The popular Carpenter 29ft
sleeps 7 at a stretch but is perfect for a group of 4.
Complete with a fridge and separate freezer, hot wa-
ter, new electronics, new Genoa, new dinghy, electric
toilet makes her a little yacht with all the comforts of a
big one.
The "Boat and Bach" package has surpassed all our expectations. Kathie at
Kulak Rent A House has over 80 bachs, covering a wide selection of prices, loca-
tions and options to choose from and she can coordinate directly with us to en-
sure that the charter vessel will have a suitable mooring or floating jetty, offering
peace of mind and the independence to come and go as you wish. A selection of
5 runabouts to Choose from.
"Bugamar" has a brand new Volvo D2
55HP engine. Also new electronics and a
new freezer. This 4 cabin Oceanis option
allows for a group of 8 to cruise in luxury,
exceptionally well out fitted, with new sails

Compass Charters ‘12/’13 Boat & Bach draw.
We are running a prize draw AGAIN this season for a weekend Boat & Bach holi-day. If you book and charter with us this season you automatically go into the
draw for this great prize. The boat is "Orion" - a McLay 650 hard top with a 175HP. The Bach sleeps 6 and has all the usual Kiwi comforts. The lucky client will be drawn on the 1st of May 2013 and has one year to use the holiday.
The PRIZE is a 2 night/3 day Boat & Bach holi-day. The boat is “Orion” (6.5m McLay Hard
Top). Surveyed for 7 people, 175HP with all the toys. Worth up to $1240—Terms and conditions apply.
of use, she really does have to be experienced. Perfect for a group of friends or a
large family.
“Phoenix” has been repowered with a
105HP Nissan. Now, our most popular launch will
get you and your crew to your favourite mooring
faster by a 1kt or so! Also being added this winter
is a LPG Califont for hot water which will save the
engine being run (and noise) at a mooring when
you need to tidy your self up for going ashore!
Call us for availability as the vessel is popular.
NB: All petrol and 2 stroke oil are not included in the daily rate.
"Boat and Bach" - We have several ideal runabouts for any group of up
to 6 or 7. Hard Tops have the advantage of a cabin to allow you to get out of all
weathers – whether too hot or too cold, fully open boats for you sun lovers and a
little rib (with budget to match) so you can just pop around to that next bay.
Hire a runabout and a Bach in the Sounds. We have a choice of over 5 run-
abouts & 80 Bachs with own moorings/ or jetties in the Sounds. They are the
perfect spots to get away from the pace of city life. Explore the sounds during
the day with your own runabout. Fish, dive, bush walks, water-skiing or just
read a book, you have the best of both worlds ashore and afloat.
For those of you who want civilization close at hand, we have a great house
(sleeps 12) in Waikawa Bay which is 2 minutes from the boat ramp. Plenty of
space and parking for you and your crew. Great for kids and family if the men
want to head out on the water for some serious fishing, the ladies can relax at
leisure and the kids have plenty to do in the area.
Prices start at $190 (depending on which runabout you choose,
which Bachs and the season) for 24 hrs. Minimum stay at some is 48hrs
(depending on time of year). Leave on a Friday afternoon and spend all day
Saturday in your own paradise then head back Sunday afternoon.
The runabouts we use for this special are Orion (left), Huntsman (centre
left) and Bowrider (centre right) + Slingshot II (right—See page 3 for more
details.)
