MAGICPLAN

MagicPlan is a cool new app that allows you to use your phone or IPad to create floor plans of a house. No measuring required. By using the camera on your mobile devise just click as you approach each corner of each room and a floor plan is created. This app could be great to add the floor plan to MLS documents and marketing materials, advertise a rental with the floor plan and when rehabbing a property. This technology company is one of the large players in the real estate website portal industry. They have several products Zillow.com, Zillow Mortgage Marketplace, Zillow mobile, Hotpads, Postlets and more. Their mission is providing consumers with information to make smart decisions about homes, real estate and mortgages.

Zillow was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Seattle with offices throughout the U.S. The name evolved from the thought of having Zillions of homes on one website plus the fact that a home is where you lay your head at night (pillow). Thus, Zillow was born.

Berkshire Hathaway Homesale Realty has a partnership with Zillow. We provide all of our listings to their website so our sellers have the most visibility on the web. In addition, Homesale Realty agents are featured on Zillow with their Z-pro product. If you are listed with a Homesale agent, your listing will feature your listing agent with the property. This ensures that the person who knows the most about your home is the first person a buyer will see.

When you think of Facebook you may think of friends, photos and comments, but when Homesale thinks of Facebook we think about Fans, marketing and sales.

Social media has become a significant player when it comes to marketing. Every reputable, large company leverages a Facebook business page. Facebook allows us to reach a larger audience and draw them to the information they are searching for.

For the past 3 years we have watched the referral traffic from our Facebook page to our website increase over 500%. Since January 1st – June 19, 2014 we have had 26,445 visits from Facebook mobile users and 9,436 visits from Facebook computer users. On average we are helping over 20 Facebook users per week capture the right housing information.

What type of home qualifies as luxury?First the home would need to fall within the top 10% of the local market in order to qualify. For our PA properties that price is $500,000+ and for our MD properties it is $600,000+. These homes include estates, trophy ranches, equestrian properties or those who have historical significance. Please check with your luxury specialist for additional qualifications.

How do sales associates qualify for the Luxury Collection Specialist designation?The professional must have closed at least three qualifying luxury homes within the past two years. To retain the designation they must sell at least one luxury home each year. The professional submits an application along with qualifying sales in order to gain the certification. What specialized marketing is available for luxury listings?Each home and luxury sales professional has a custom marketing plan to reach the right target market.
