Email vs SMS; a Possible Solution… Q: How to gain better Open Rates to your E-mail Campaigns? A: Use a simple Text to draw attention to the e-mail. We know the problem with e-mail – its free , however, email open rates have been dropping steadily and it’s becoming an increasing struggle just to get e-mails read let alone responded to. So what about sending a text to your customers alerting them to the e- mail in their inbox? Particularly useful for those lengthy emails (for example showing product catalogues) and more importantly highlighting the latest offers & discounts. Open rates were around 12% last year, however, in recent months we can seen this drop away to around 7% A testimonial from a large pharmaceutical company who started sending their customers a text to let them know that the e-mail was on its way. Their open rates have now risen to approx. 16%.
