    The purpose f this study s to identify the types of eco-tourists oming othe province of Sorsogon. dentifying he distinct type of tourists yisiting theprovince s beneficiat or the ptanning, management nd marketjng of tourism.The nformation witt attow managers o address ifferent motivations, xperiencesand mpacts of tourists and o undeEtand which ourist ypes are more iiety to befound at different stages n the evotution of tourism area. A targe portion of the tourists were professionats, mployees, cottegestudents nd businessmen. herefore, majority of the tourists o the irovtnce havehigher education, are experienced raveters and beLong o the upper incomebracket. These characteristics ere reftective on the visiior,s preferences, ravetbehavior, motivationand ype of activities undertaken.

    Tourists' motivations showed consistency with the patterns of activitiescarried out by the tourists and the sites hey visited. Birdersor nature ounsts,who were motivated by birds, the v{itdtife and the natural environmenr, asexpected, visited sites which offered nature-based ctivitiessuch as whate sharkwatching and interaction, bird watching and river cruising among others.     Tourists' motivations showed consistency with the patterns of activitiescarried out by the tourists and the sites hey visited. Birdersor nature ourists,who were motivated by birds, the witdtife and the natural environment. asexpected, visited sites which offered nature"based ctivities such as whate sharkwatching and nteraction, orest trekkjng, bird watching and river cruisingamong

    others. Hikers on the other hand were motivated mostty by the Locat utiure anicommunities. hey were ndependent ravelers and typicat(ystayed onger n thesite to interact with the tocats. Whereas enerat ourists usuatty isited he majorattractions and hightights f the province but setdom tayed more than a day inthe site. The choices of activities and destinations were retated o, and resuitedfrom, tourists' motivations.

    Satisfaction Rate and Preferences. ourists want their expectations o besatisfied. Some witt be demanding white others are not. The Visitor Survev

    conducted n the provinceof Sorsogon eftects a high rate of visitor satisfaction.Forty-three isitorsor 80 %of the 54 respondents xpressed hat the trip met theirexpectations and were very satisfied.
