Project Graduation is an event committed to promoting safe, supervised, memory-filled All Night Graduation Celebrations in an alcohol-free and drug-free environment. The aim is to change what had become an annual tragedy- losing our youth to the deadly mix of drugs, alcohol and driving. And it has succeeded! Since the program began there have been no alcohol- or drug-related accidents or deaths in
Northern Virginia on graduation night! Each year more Students are making the right choice against underage drinking and drug-use. You can buy grocery store gift cards at face value through PFHS, and we earn 5% of each dollar spent. The program works like this: you place an email order ($50 and $100 increments) through our volunteers, set a check out at your home on a specified day, and your grocery store certificate is delivered to you. That’s all!
If you have any questions, or would like to be added to the email list, email [email protected].

SAT Preparatory Workshops: 2012/2013
The PTSO will offer two formats for the PTSO Preparatory Workshops in the 2012/2013 academic year. The traditional four week, 10-session workshop will be offered twice, once each in the fall and spring semesters. Sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., and Sundays 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. with one Sunday session held from 2:00 – 6:00p.m.
In addition, four abbreviated “Power Course” workshops will be offered. These are scheduled for the week immediately before an SAT test. Each Power Course consists of three sessions, held on the prior Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings (6:30-8:30 p.m.) before the Saturday morning test.
Both courses cover the same content and are led by Mrs. Belin and Mr. Kim. The extended version includes in-class drills and practice tests. The Power Course format may be especially helpful to students who have scheduling conflicts with the extended course, or want a “tune-up” immediately before the test.
The course dates, fee schedule and registration form are provided below, and are available on the PTSO website. To register submit your completed form along with payment to the main office in an envelope marked “PTSO SAT.” You will receive confirmation of your registration by email. A minimum of 10 students must be registered or that session will be cancelled.
Please note that enrolling in this workshop does not constitute registration for the SAT test. Visit http://www.collegeboard.org for test dates and registration.
Contact Claudette Evans if you need further information regarding the workshops.
