Absolutely, Mark has outdone anything that we could have asked or hoped for, and I will berecommending him to every person I meet who needs mortgage or insurance advice. One ofthe best customer service experiences I've ever experienced.

What could they have done better?

Nothing, this man has a literally done everything he possibly could have to support usthroughout a difficult house buying process, including calling us when we had questionswhen he was on vacation. I cannot think of a single thing that Mark could have done better,he is the cream of the crop, and all financial advisors should look to him for how to advisetheir clients.

I was remortgaging my property after separating from my husband.



I felt daunted about taking on my property on my own and was unsure about what I neededto do. My husband and I were looking to get our first mortgage. Our circumstances were slightlytricky circumstances in terms of both work contracts and having been living abroad untilrecently, so we wanted the help of a mortgage broker to find a lender who would offer us amortgage, and of course to get a good deal.


We contacted Mark to start finding out whether obtaining a mortgage was feasible for us atthis point int time. He contacted us shortly after and arranged a telephone conversation totalk through our situation. Mark devoted considerable time to understanding ourcircumstances and putting together the information he needed to approach lenders andobtain an offer. This included advising us on information we could obtain from our employersto make our case stronger. He was able to find a lender who was willing to lend us theamount we wanted to borrow at a very good rate, and completed all the administrative sideof putting in the application.When we got to the stage of completing on our house sale, anumber of errors were made by our lender, meaning that they did not provide the fundsagreed at the time expected. This was hugely stressful for us, and could have resulted in uslosing a considerable amount of money. Our solicitors were also not terribly helpful at sortingout the problems. Mark put a huge amount of effort into sorting it all out - calling our lendermultiple times to get to the bottom of what was going on and pushing them to get thingsmoving their end, advising us on the best course of action, and helping us to stay (relatively)sane throughout.


Yes, we were initially concerned we might not meet eligibility criteria for a mortgage givenour circumstances, however Mark found us a deal we are very happy with that has enabledus to buy the home we wanted. The problems we later encountered when it came tocompletion were of course something we had not foreseen needing help with, however Markreally did go above and beyond to ensure that everything worked out in the end. We arereally pleased to be living in our new home, and I fear that might not have happened withoutthe help Mark gave us.

I needed to remortgage to help me partly buy out my former spouse. A very tricky situation,it felt to me - I knew I had to find a miraculous lender that would take into account othersources of income not accepted by other banks, yet keeping the rate as low as possible tomake it affordable.


Mark found a mortgage for me that covered all these requirements, but also guided metowards a source for the rest of the sum necessary to fully buy out. The remortgage involvedchanging the name on the deeds requiring involvement from my former spouse. He was verydifficult resulting into a lengthy and draining process. Mark was simply amazing through allthis - he was encouraging and compassionate and held my hand from a distance throughwhat felt like a gruelling time. I was really touched when Mark sought further legal advicethrough his own sources to make sure that I was covering myself and my children in the bestway. Mark's company is called "My finance friend" - terms that traditionally most peoplewouldn't associate. Well, now I really feel that I have a finance friend that I spoke about tomany people as I am really grateful for all the help he gave me in his warm personal manner.I do understand (and it's a great thing) that not every situation pushing us to seek financialadvice is coupled with such strong emotions as mine was, but I think it helps enormously ifthe adviser has a really good understanding and intuition of human needs to fine tune theadvice he offers.
