WILLIAMS LAKE SALE THURSDAY FEBRUARY 18TH

An incredible sale today in Williams Lake as 1600 head of cattle hit the

sale ring. Quality today was 1st class as feeder cattle made up over 1000

head with the balance being made up of bred cows and heifers.

The C1 Ranch set this powerful sale into high gear as their 1st liner

load of Black Angus s/c, 102 head weighing 623 lbs traded to 249.00. The

liner load of their big brothers, a heavy set of 88 s/c, 736 lbs, notched

225.00. The 3rd liner load of these powerful steers, 95 head, 649 lbs pow-

ered to 230.00. Ivan & Bonnie Thiessen saw their load of 644 lb Simm X

steers sell to 231.50, the 736 lb steers hit 222.75, with their 562 lb Black

Angus s/c selling to 265.00. Riske Creek Ranching’s 631 Angus s/c sold

to 235.00, their 533 lb h/c traded to 240.00. Rusty Toews came to town

with 670 lb Red X steers selling to 226.25, the 560 lb steers brought

261.00. Chimney Creek Hereford Ranch had 467 lb h/c sell to 244.00.

The Dunlevy Ranch with a fancy group of 472 lb s/c marking 275.00.

Scott & Janice Meyers had a load of 746 lb Red steers top 209.25 and

their 663 lb steers traded to 221.75. Dixon Creek Ranch’s 673 Angus

heifers sold to 199.75. Douglas Lake Cattle Co.’s 641 lb Char X heifers

sold to 204.00, their 736 lb Tan heifers sold to 194.00, and their 554 lb

heifers reached 234.50.

Today was a huge dispersal sale for Forest Lakewood Ranch from

Parksville BC. This powerful cow herd was young, well bred and the

buyers loved them. The powerful bred heifers opened the Bred sale with their

1200 lb Black Angus bred heifers trading to $2175.00, the Red Angus bred

heifers sold to $2210.00. The Red Angus 2nd calvers sold to $2260.00, while

the Black Angus 2nd time calvers sold to $2250.00. The 3rd and 4th calving

Red Angus bred cows brought $2200.00. The C1 Ranch , with a nice pen of

Red blaze face young cows, they traded to $2290.00 per head. The mature

cows marked $2320.00.A sincere thank you to all our bidders and buyers,

today was one incredible sale.

VANDERHOOF SALE FRIDAY FEBRUARY 19TH

512 hd of cattle rolled through the ring on Friday. Murray & Cheryl

Richards from Pr ince George cracked the gate open with 148 steers

and heifers. Murray’s 688 lb steers traded to 216.00, & 755 lb steers at

203.50, the 600 lb steers brought 248.75. Their 597 lb heifers sold for

218.00 even, the 530 lb h/c went for 230.00. Gary & Julie Blackwell from

Burns Lake sold 127 hd of fancy steers & heifers. Gary’s 787 lb steers

raced to 193.00 and 648 lb steers traded to 226.25. 34 Blk/ Bwf 713 lb

heifers, top quality, sold to 198.50. Leroy Taylor from Smithers sold 800

lb steers for 186.25 and 741 lb steers at 174.00. Matt Taylor sold 668lb

steer at 219.00 even. Barsness Trailer Inc. traded 616 lb Blk steer for

248.75 and 740 lb Blk steers for 198.50. Thanks to all the contributors

and buyers for attending the sale. Next sale is March 4th. All ready

21 ST ANNUAL PINE BUTTE RANCH BULL SALE

The Pine Butte Ranch, Ray Van Steinburg Horned Hereford Bull Sale in

Kamloops held on Saturday Feb 20th was wall to wall with excitement.

The place was electric with action as every bull sold to an average of

$7060.00. This powerful sale of top quality Hereford bulls brought buyers

from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the United States. The high selling

bull was purchased by Mike Bayliff, LOT 22 ARNS 195 B for $10500.00.

Douglas Lake Cattle Co purchased the runner -up high seller, LOT 11

108B for $9500.00. Volume Bull buyers were the Douglas Lake Cattle

Co, The Gang ranch, Frolek Cattle Co. The D bar M Ranch,

Mike Bayliff, The Springfield Ranch, The Spear Ranch from the

United States, and The Hilltop Ranch from Saskatchewan. The beautiful

compliment of Purebred Horned Hereford Heifers were purchased by

Fenton Hereford Ranch of Irma AB, Maurice Oddan of Misty Valley

Farms of Maidstone Sask. And the MN Ranch of Airdr ie AB. Many

thanks to all the bidders and buyers for one incredible, fast paced

sale.

KAMLOOPS SALE TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 23 RD

A little smaller sale today with 450 head on offer. Yearlings and calves by

far made up the sale receipts. Harry & Marilyn Clemitson set the bull

market with 1910 lb butcher bulls marking 125.00. R.Devick & Sons 2075

lb bulls hit 124.50. The Turner Ranch, with 1435 lb cows at 105.00.

Steve Langenegger had 1523 lb cows also mark 105.00. Feeder cattle

were steady today. Russell & Megan Clemitson had 820 lb steers mark

188.00. Roy Creek Farms from Cour tenay BC with a liner load of Red

Angus calves. Their pen of 632 lb s/c marked 215.00. 21 head of their 541

lb s/c notched 231.00. A pen of their 729 lb h/c saw 190.50. 27 head of their

529 lb h/c saw 221.00. Allan & Ginger Glen saw their 523 lb s/c mark

231.00, their 488 lb h/c notched 220.00. Alf Frankie today saw his top qual-

ity 795 lb steers mark 204.75. The Gardens Creek Ranch, 651 lb Black

Angus s/c notched 218.00, their 473 lb s/c hit 249.00. Wow, today a double

draft of 80 steers, 735 lbs, from S K Ranches out of Cache Creek, they

raced to 220.00. Ted & Grace Crawford with 945 lb steers to 174.00, their

885 lb steers hit 187.00. Thank you to our bidders, buyers, and contributors
