NPE2015 TRADE SHOW TIPS

PACK A SURVIVAL KIT

Put together a trade show survival kit to include in your freight or checked luggage, suggest it include:

Small Tool Kit

Staples, Scissors, Tape

Pens & Markers for Labels

First Aid Kit

Bottled Water

AT THE SHOW

After emptying crates, place empty labels on all sides of your crates and cases – remember to remove old empty labels.

Empty labels are sometimes color coded, so make sure you receive the correct color and that your booth number is on each label.

Do not block yourself in – be accessible and friendly.

Do not eat, sit, or talk on phone in booth.

Focus your interactions to support your show goals.

Stay fresh – a short break every hour or two will make the day fly by.

Don’t just give away premiums – make sure you get something in return.

Be thorough in recording information – accuracy now will lead to more sales later.

POST-SHOW

Follow up quickly – strike while iron’s hot.

Share information with your entire team.

Compare budget to actual – both expenses and, more importantly, goals.

Note any changes that should be made for future shows (exhibit location, booth design, etc.).
