This Sunday’s Focus:
We usually pride ourselves on
being open-minded and inclu-
sive. When is it OK to be nar-
row? Sunday we will examine
the truth of Jesus who said,
“Enter through the narrow
gate. For wide is the gate and
broad is the road that leads to
destruction, and many enter
through it. But small is the gate
and narrow the road that leads
to life, and only a few find it.”
What does that look like?

Leadership Retreat
Rescheduled for May 2nd
The Executive Committee has
decided to reschedule our
church’s leadership retreat
to May 2nd, with venue to be an-
nounced. The entire fellowship
of Christ Lutheran is invited to
attend. Watch for more details
and make this a priority. It prom-
ises to be worth your time and
energy .
New Members
We are pleased that
Don and Linda Woodring
will be joining our congrega-
tion by Profession of Faith on
Sunday morning. Welcome
them in the name of
Jesus Christ!
Why You Should Regularly Attend our
House of Prayer!
Why pray? Paul challenged us to “Pray without ceasing.” - 1 Thes-salonians 5:17. The Lord blesses us when we stand together in corporate prayer. We need His direction for our church’s future; we need the Holy Spirit to guide us. Come to House of Prayer ~ this Tuesday ~ 6:30 p.m. (before worship) at First Chris-tian Church.
New eNews Feature
Here’s a fresh contribution ~
missional ideas. A missional
church imitates what God has
done in Jesus Christ ~ He sent
His Son into the world. To be
missional means to be sent out;
we do not expect people to come
to us. We go to them. Being mis-
sional applies to the whole life of
every believer. We are all mis-
sionaries sent into a non-
Christian culture. Every Jesus
follower is to be an agent of
God’s kingdom, and every fol-
lower is to carry the mission of
God into every arena of life. As
the people of a missionary God,
we need to engage the world the
same way He does - by going out.
Ready, set, go!
Missional Idea
Do someone’s laundry. Do you
know a busy person who is feeling
overwhelmed (besides you)? Per-
haps you could offer to do their
laundry! Or go to the Blair laun-
dromat and offer to pay for and
do someone’s laundry there. It
will blow their mind! They will
want to know “why” and you can
tell them about Jesus.
Giving Away Your Crosses?
We have done so well with our cross
ministry, giving away about 1,500.
More crosses have been blessed and
are ready for you to give them to the
people that the Lord has appointed.
Grab some at the Christ Lutheran
table. Give away your crosses and
bless others in Jesus’ name. Then,
tell us what happened. What’s your
story? Tell it!
Jesus Follower Quotes
“You may never know that Jesus
is all you need, until Jesus is all you have.”
“Those who hold Jesus in their hearts will never need to look
very far when they need Him.”
“The steady practice of intimate friendship with Jesus results in
you becoming like Him.” - Harry Emerson Fosdick
Prayers Answered!
Anna Berggren, the teen who ran
away from home, has contacted
her parents by text message. We
thank the Lord that she is OK and
pray that she will be reunited
with her family soon.
Nicky Hoyer, granddaughter of
Phyllis Bunten, is home from the
hospital. She needs our prayers
for complete healing.
“Christ in the Passover”
Holy Tuesday, March 31
On Tuesday, March 31, at 7:00 p.m.,
we will visit the celebration of
Passover. This one-hour presenta-
tion of “Christ in the Passover”
shows the link between the ancient
Festival of Redemption (Passover)
and Christ as the Lamb of God. In
this visual demonstration we will
see a table set with traditional
Passover elements. Using scripture,
and the actual items, we will ex-
perience a Jewish Passover Seder
meal that weaves the story of the
Exodus together with the life, death
and resurrection of Christ. The
words He spoke in the upper room
come alive as each Passover item is
carefully explained. This powerful
presentation will deepen your cele-
bration of Maundy Thursday and
all your communion experiences.

“Eye of the Beholder”

The cost will be $25. The seminar
will be held at The Core (a Chris-
tian ministry of King of Kings Lu-

NE, 68137, from 9:00 a.m. till

mothers and daughters to attend.

India Transformed
on March 22nd
On Sunday, March 22nd, we will
have the privilege of hearing
Gwynne Gonnerman, Executive
Director of India Transformed.
She will address the Adult Sun-
day School at 10:15 a.m. This
international ministry is sharing
Jesus with the people of India as
it ministers to children, women
and men. Their ministry in-
cludes a Christian school for 700
children, a skills training minis-
try for women and Community
Transformation Centers
throughout India. God is open-
ing a wide door for the Church
to share Jesus in India. We pray
blessing and abundance into this
ministry. See
