Edgenuity is not an approved non-traditional course option with NCAA. Student athletes are encouraged to re-enroll in any failed course.

College Visits
The District shall excuse a student for up to two days during the student’s junior year and up to two days
during the student’s senior year to visit an accredited institution of higher education. A student shall be
required to submit verification of such visits in accordance with administrative regulations.

FAFSA
▪ Students can obtain their FSA ID now by going to www.StudentAid.gov/fsaid

▪ The FSA ID has replaced the Federal Student Aid PIN▪ Parents will need your own FSA ID to sign your child’s FAFSA
electronically. ▪ If you have more than one child attending college, you can use
the same FSA ID to sign all applications.

• If you have taken English Dual Credit, and/or successfully passed TSI or met the SAT/ACT exemption, you do not need any additional testing in Reading or Writing.
• If you have taken Math 1314, and/or successfully passed TSI or met the SAT/ACT exemption, you do not need any additional testing in Math.
• Students planning to attend universities must still take the SAT and/or ACT.
• Students continuing with ACC or any other community college do not need to take the SAT and/or ACT (unless required for entry into a specific program).

Reverse Transfer● After completing 60hrs of course work (between ACC and your

Tips & Reminders✓ Remember to send both your ACC and high school transcript as you apply and once you have
selected your school of choice.
✓ Be sure to schedule a meeting with an advisor to discuss the classes you have already taken. Have your unofficial ACC transcript from WebACCess available! Do this prior to summer or fall registration.
✓ Attend the first orientation session that you can. If you are continuing to ACC, New StudentOrientation is required.
✓ DO NOT sign up for a course you have already taken. Be sure to pay attention to the course name.
✓ If you have kept copies of your syllabus, take those along with you, if the transferability of thecourse is questioned.
✓ Be sure to have your proof of the Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination. You will not be allowed toregister for on campus courses without this documentation or a waiver.
Tips & Reminders✓ Dual Credit Academic courses are guaranteed to transfer with a grade C or higher to any Texas
Public College/University according to the Core Curriculum transfer rules and regulations. If you have any challenges transferring a course, please let us know immediately.
✓ Dual Credit Technical courses are not guaranteed to transfer at the university level but maytransfer between community colleges. If you have questions, let us know.
✓ All majors are different. How the transferred course is applied to your degree depends on what the degree requires. Some courses may transfer directly into your major, others may only transfer as elective credit.
✓ Core completers will receive credit for each course transferred. Students will not be required to pass additional core curriculum courses at the transferees public institution unless the THECB has approved an expanded core curriculum at the institution.
