EXPLORE & RELAX: NAYONG PILIPINO + PUNING HOT SPRING

DURATION: 10-12 HOURS

MEALS: LUNCH (BUFFET), DINNER

RATE: BND392 PER PERSON (2-3 PAX)

BND282 PER PERSON (4-5 PAX)

BND245 PER PERSON (6-9 PAX)

Highlights: Nayong Pilipino, 4x4 jeep ride across dramatic lahar fields, volcanic sand spa therapy and healing dip in

the waters of Puning Hot Spring

Early morning pick up from hotel. Proceed to Clark, Angeles City around two hours north of Manila. We visit Nayong

Pilipino, a park that showcases Philippine culture, history, and geography. Have a walk in the park and enjoy

witnessing key segments of Philippine history and experience the rich diversity of Filipino culture in living color.

Afterwards proceed to Puning Hot Spring. When Mount Pinatubo erupted on June 12, 1991 it blew its top of formerly

unassuming lump of jungle-covered slopes into the air killing hundreds of people and damaging the properties and

livelihood of millions. Ash fell as far away as Singapore, and in the year to follow, volcanic particles in the atmosphere

would lower global temperatures by an average of 0.5 degrees Celsius (0.9 degrees Fahrenheit). Despite Mount

Pinatubo’s devastating eruption it has brought a handful of impressive outcomes for tourism purposes and one of

those is found in Puning Hot Spring & Restaurant. Puning Hot Spring is hidden in one corner of Mount Pinatubo’s

lahar-covered foothills. The complex structure blends effortlessly with the surroundings, as if it was etched from the

face of the mountain. To get to Puning Hot Spring, we will ride a 4x4 jeep driving through dramatic landscapes

created by the explosion of Mount Pinatubo – lahar-filled valleys, rocky rivers, and narrow crevices under mountains.

Puning Hot Spring offers volcanic sand spa therapy – prepare to be buried under warm volcanic sand for 20 minutes.

This treatment helps lower cholesterol, relieves body pains, and improves blood circulation. Enjoy a body massage by

an indigenous Aeta therapist. Later on mudpack is applied to your entire body with mud made from lahar spewn by

Mount Pinatubo. This mudpack is good for treating skin allergies, tightening pores, and regulating body temperature.

This beautifully designed resort offers 11 hot pools and two warm pools — atop stone formations, which can be

reached after climbing stone staircases. Try hopping from one pool to another to test the various water temperatures

Page 7: MANILA HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL TOUR - CTC Bruneictcbrunei.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/DAY-TOURS... · MANILA HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL TOUR DURATION: ... (Rizal Park) to see national

and find which one suits you best to relax and soothe your muscles. Glance up at the towering rock formations within

the resort and find billowing hot steam coming from crevices and from the natural hot spring waterfall around which

the pools are constructed. Afternoon back to Manila. Transfer back to hotel
