An Artist Collective Headed by Fraser Gillespie and James Hanrahan
Victym have recently emerged as a brand representing a collective of young energetic artists
determined to bring superb design, manifested out of such processes as illustration, graphic
art, digital media, and photography, to a wide audience. The initial focus will be on high
quality screen-printing where exclusive limited edition prints of each work have been
produced.
Victym aims to champion and nurture original design talent from around London by working
with up and coming artists, as well as collaborating with more established designers, and to
make the visually exciting results, whatever the media, available to the wider audience.
Giving exposure to those both directly involved or associated with the brand.
The current collection of work available from Victym, “Manifest”, produced by five
designers from within the collective, is available worldwide through their website. It consists
of twenty pieces of screen-printed artwork, each limited to an exclusive twenty prints and
the masters destroyed. Each Manifest print will be sequentially numbered upon sale and
signed by the artist. The prints are of the highest quality, produced with an astonishing
amount of detail.
The untitled second collection will be released in September 2012. Each collection will be
launched alongside exhibitions around the country, and will include artists new to the
collective along with new ideas from all those involved. Victym intends that the brand will
evolve to represent a truly exciting and diverse community of artists and designers, working
within a wide range of artistic processes.
The collective, although currently busy with screen-printing, is always looking to promote
creativity in other projects. With more products in the pipe line, the clothing range is the
next phase in anticipation of the second collection. By utilising the comprehensive talent of
painters, illustrators, typographic and digital artists from within the collective, Victym plan
to demonstrate that exciting and unique artwork can be made available to all and does not
need to be expensive.
