18. Counseling / Mentoring : The vibrant campus ministry programme takes care of the

personality development of the students, promotes a God-orientation among them, provides personal

counseling, organizes group activities and student clubs, ensures the social involvement of students, and

co-ordinates with the placement cell to groom them for their future careers. The mentoring system of the

college ensures that each student is placed under a mentor, who guides him/her in both personal and

academic activities.

Career Counseling : A dedicated placement cell is working towards recognizing

and developing the core competencies and enhancing interpersonal and communication skills of every

student. The cell promotes industry-institute interaction by arranging industry visits, technical and career

seminars. This provides a platform for budding engineers to interact with professionals from various

industries. The national and international linkages of Assam Don Bosco University and its curriculum which

is designed to meet the changing demands of the industry gives its students an advantage in the

employment market.

Medical facilities : A qualified nurse is on duty during college hours for first aid

and emergency care. In serious cases an ambulance stationed at the college will take affected persons for

professional medical treatment. Annual medical camps provide free eye, dental, ENT and general check

ups. Lifestyle management and life savers’ programme are conducted annually. Individual health records

are maintained.

19. Students Activity Body : An innovative venture of the College is the College

Cultural activities Association. Its members represent the various

Sports activities stake-holders of the college – students, staff, faculty and

management. The association endeavours to take advantage

of every opportunity to create an environment that nurtures life in its fullness for every member of the

college community and set it on the path to excellence. It takes charge of organizing most of the co-

curricular activities such as annual college festival, quizzes, debates, competitions and social events –

welcomes, farewells, etc.

Literary activities : The college publishes an annual journal called “Creazone”. It

Magazine / Newsletter provides a forum for expressing the technical and creative

abilities of the students of the college. A quarterly newsletter

called “Spark” keeps the student community and well-wishers informed of the happenings in the college.

A monthly leaflet called “Carpe Diem” provides inspirational reading material for the college community.

A weekly online electronic mail service provides professional enhancement services to the faculty.
