The college is equipped with more than 800 latest configuration computer terminals across the campus. Each department runs their own computer centre(s) with sufficient number of computers and accessories. College is fully networked with a campus wide network having a backbone of 1Gbps. All activities in the institution including Academic/Non Academic/Accounts/HRMS/Library etc. are automated. The details of any student is accessible from any teacher node in the campus. The performance of the students can be assessed by the parents through the web. The college campus and Hostels are wi-fi enabled facilitating the staff and students to access the Internet and Intranet with mobility. A lease line connection having 40 Mbps Bandwidth is being catered across the campus. Internet facility is available at all times.

Library facilities

The College was established in 1994. College Library had humble beginning. It has however grown at tremendous pace with its building during the 18 years of its existence and now the resource materials of Library consist of more than 52572 Books with total cost of Rs. 5.8 Crore, 3202 e-books, 3523 e-journals, 3694 National and International Periodicals, 4031 CD Roms, 449 DVDs, 6180 bound volume Journals, 1072 Project Reports, 280 Mini Project Reports, 2825 Seminar Reports, 25 Thesis Reports, and 373 IS Codes etc. More than 3200 Users are utilizing these facilities. Working hours of the Library is 8 am to 8 pm except on Sundays and public holidays.

All Library services like Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Catalogue Search (OPAC – Online Public Access Catalogue) has been fully computerized with the help of Barcode facility. The Central Library details can be accessed from anywhere in the campus by using OPAC.

The Library has given considerable importance to documentation and dissemination of up-to-date information to cater to the needs of faculties and students. Efforts are also constantly made for procuring the latest resource materials like Book, Journals and others periodically, with an objective of up-to-date required resource. Each department of the College is equipped with departmental library for specializing in there area with extensive level of knowledge boost in the field of concern to staff and students.

A good Digital Library has been established in Central Library premises with effective e-learning materials, e-database, e-journals, e-books etc. The Library is an active member of reputed organizations like IEEE, ASME, ASCE, McGraw Hill, Elsevier, ASTM Digital Library, EBSCO (Mgt and Arch), DELNET etc. It can be accessed from anywhere in the campus for 24 hours.

Continues improvement of the Library with considerable modernization by procuring latest information and knowledge resource is the constant consideration of the college.

Auditorium/Seminar Halls/Amphi Air-conditioned auditorium with seating capacity of 1200. All departments are having seminar halls.

Cafeteria A canteen is functioning inside the campus for providing quality-catering facilities for the students and staff at moderate rate.

College is having an EDUSAT node through which the students/members of staff can avail the Technical programmes being telecast from EDUSAT studios. Branch of Punjab National Bank, Kuttippuram is functioning inside the campus with ATM facility. Arrangement has been made with the bank to receive the college and hostel fees. In addition, it also provides other banking facilities. A registered co-operative society store is functioning in the College to help staff and students in the purchase of books and other stationery items. The student bodies are quite active and organize various programmes, such as seminars, group discussions, paper presentation, exhibitions etc. They also invite eminent professionals and industrialists in each discipline to participate in such programs.

Cultural Activities

Fine Arts and Literary association of the college promotes talented students in music, arts, drama and literature. The association conducts various cultural programmes. The students of MES College of Engineering regularly participate in Inter College and Intra College competitions.

Sports Activities

Sports and games are one of the major extra curricular activities in the college. The students are encouraged to participate in various games which include football, cricket, volleyball, basketball etc. Play grounds and other facilities are available. The games are played within the campus. The college teams for cricket, football and volleyball participate in tournaments conducted at the university level.

Literary Activities

The College has different clubs like Photography club, Environment club, Music club, Literary and Debate club etc., to promote variety of programmes.Literary association of the college promotes talented students in music, arts, drama and literature. The association conducts various cultural programmes. The students of MES College of Engineering regularly participate in Inter College and Intra College competitions.

Industrial Visits / Tours

The college arranges industrial visits to factories within as well as outside Kerala. Tours are arranged by different departments year wise to nearby States and to distant industrial locations in Delhi, Mumbai , Bangalore, Chennai etc for students to visit various leading and sophisticated industrial establishments and technical centres. This helps the students to familiarize with the current industrial scenario in the country.

MES College of Engineering Alumni Association started functioning from the year 1999. The Association keeps a record of all outgoing students. The students regularly interact with the association. The college is equipped with more than 1000 latest configuration computer terminals across the campus. Each department runs their own computer centre(s) with sufficient number of computers and accessories. College is fully networked with a campus wide network having a backbone of 1Gbps. All activities in the institution including Academic/Non Academic/Accounts/HRMS/Library etc. are automated. The details of any student is accessible from any teacher node in the campus. The performance of the students can be assessed by the parents through the web. The college campus and Hostels are wi-fi enabled facilitating the staff and students to access the Internet and Intranet with mobility. A lease line connection having 140 Mbps Bandwidth is being catered across the campus. Internet facility is available at all times.

Library facilities

The College was established in 1994. College Library had humble beginning. It has however grown at tremendous pace with its building during the 25 years of its existence and now the resource materials of Library consist of more than 68500 Books with total cost of Rs. 6.8 Crore, 3202 e-books, 3523 e-journals, 3694 National and International Periodicals, 4031 CD Roms, 449 DVDs, 6180 bound volume Journals, 1072 Project Reports, 280 Mini Project Reports, 2825 Seminar Reports, 25 Thesis Reports, and 373 IS Codes etc. More than 3200 Users are utilizing these facilities. Working hours of the Library is 8 am to 8 pm except on Sundays and public holidays.

All Library services like Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Catalogue Search (OPAC – Online Public Access Catalogue) has been fully computerized with the help of Barcode facility. The Central Library details can be accessed from anywhere in the campus by using OPAC.

The Library has given considerable importance to documentation and dissemination of up-to-date information to cater to the needs of faculties and students. Efforts are also constantly made for procuring the latest resource materials like Book, Journals and others periodically, with an objective of up-to-date required resource. Each department of the College is equipped with departmental library for specializing in there area with extensive level of knowledge boost in the field of concern to staff and students.

A good Digital Library has been established in Central Library premises with effective e-learning materials, e-database, e-journals, e-books etc. The Library is an active member of reputed organizations like IEEE, ASME, ASCE, McGraw Hill, Elsevier, ASTM Digital Library, EBSCO (Mgt and Arch), DELNET etc. It can be accessed from anywhere in the campus for 24 hours.

Continuous improvement of the Library with considerable modernization by procuring latest information and knowledge resource is the constant consideration of the college.

Auditorium/Seminar Halls/Amphi Air-conditioned auditorium with seating capacity of 1200. All departments are having seminar halls.

Cafeteria A canteen is functioning inside the campus for providing quality-catering facilities for the students and staff at moderate rate.

Branch of Punjab National Bank, Kuttippuram is functioning inside the campus with ATM facility. Arrangement has been made with the bank to receive the college and hostel fees. In addition, it also provides other banking facilities. Presently we have student chapters of the following professional bodies ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) CSI (Computer Society of India) Institute of Architects Institution of Engineers

The student bodies are quite active and organize various programmes, such as seminars, group discussions, paper presentation, exhibitions etc. They also invite eminent professionals and industrialists in each discipline to participate in such programs.

Cultural Activities

Fine Arts and Literary association of the college promotes talented students in music, arts, drama and literature. The association conducts various cultural programmes. The students of MES College of Engineering regularly participate in Inter College and Intra College competitions.

Sports Activities

Sports and games are one of the major extra curricular activities in the college. The students are encouraged to participate in various games which include football, cricket, volleyball, basketball etc. Play grounds and other facilities are available. The games are played within the campus. The college teams for cricket, football and volleyball participate in tournaments conducted at the university level.

Literary Activities

The College has different clubs like Photography club, Environment club, Music club, Literary and Debate club etc., to promote variety of programmes.Literary association of the college promotes talented students in music, arts, drama and literature. Industrial Visits / Tours

The college arranges industrial visits to factories within as well as outside Kerala. Tours are arranged by different departments year wise to nearby States and to distant industrial locations in Delhi, Mumbai , Bangalore, Chennai etc for students to visit various leading and sophisticated industrial establishments and technical centres. This helps the students to familiarize with the current industrial scenario in the country.

Alumni Activities

MES College of Engineering Alumni Association started functioning from the year 1999. The Association keeps a record of all outgoing students. The students regularly interact with the association. The Alumni Association is benefit for both the students and the college. The college has been requesting its alumni to be in contact with its Alma Mater and render all assistance to enhance its reputation.
