Managing Quota in Your ELMS Course Space

“I have exceeded my quota in my course as I use a lot of Powerpoints and videos.
Today I deleted several of the video clips that no longer need to be posted, but this did not clear up enough space yet. Does it
take some time for the space to be freed up after one removes material? Can I get an
increase in my quota?”

Compressing PowerPoint FilesA Technique for Reducing Quota
in ELMS Course Spaces
OIT Learning Technologies
Oh, Those PowerPoint Files!
Use the Compress Pictures option (Windows or Mac PPT2011 only) to reduce PPT file size.
If you are using an earlier version of MS Office (2007), you will find similar compression options under the Format Picture command made available when you right-click on the image in your presentation.
These options do not exist in PPT 2004/2008 on the Mac side.
Another option for reducing the size of PowerPoint content made available in ELMS course space is to create a PDF version
Print to PDF.
