The report is related to SMART aims and functions in the Edwardes College Peshawar. We collected all the data from official members of Edwardes College Peshawar. This is a very good experience for our education life, although we suffered difficulties, but by the grace of God we completed this research assignment. Edwardes College is an undergraduate and graduate institution in the city of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province along Pakistan’s northwest border with Afghanistan. The college serves about 2,000 students in sciences, arts and humanities, business administration and computer science.

The college's degree programs, affiliated with the University of Peshawar, lead to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Computer Science (B.S.C.), and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degrees awarded through the University of Peshawar. Edwardes also offers an A-Level program, and the Faculty of Arts (F.A.) and Faculty of Science (F.Sc.) certificates through the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Higher National Diploma (H.N.D.) program in business and information technology offers the option of a third year in an institution in the U.K., U.S.A. or Australia.

Edwardes is an institution of the Diocese of Peshawar, one of eight dioceses of the Church of Pakistan, which was formed in 1970 by the union of Anglicans, Presbyterians, Methodists and Lutherans. Long a men’s college, Edwardes is now co-educational with about 200 women students and 15 women among its 85 faculty members, with numbers of women anticipated to increase over time. The college has a vital community life, which includes freedom of worship for persons of all faiths, sporting events, a debate society, drama productions and student publications

Their culture exist in Edawardes college is team culture and power culture as well.

Team culture in Edwardes college because in these every management of head carries as team and they performed also as team work with their own departmental under working as team for individually to performing his achieving the completion of task.

Power culture exists in Edwardes College because there all decision making and all decision taking by the top management to the lower management. Which is also beneficial for Edwardes College and there who works in the institution.

There are several functions performing by an organization. These functions are mentioned

below:

Administration Staff:

The function of their administrative department includes staffing and their administrative

staffing appointments day by day on monthly and weekly basis and also operational issues

for their each administrative staff department of Edwardes College.

The uses of management associated within their administrative staff for Edwardes College.

They are basically focused all detailed of their Edwardes College on the basis of their

excellent well management.

Financial department: It also includes the financial services to the Edwardes college

on daily basis because for its department students and also their well staff e.g.: and

they also provide dues to the all students to solve their problem related to dues.

Admission and annual fee records and securities are also responsibility for the financial

department to have controlled all kinds of funds.

A main function of the year head office is to provide an applicant forms to the all students of

college.

To make their white cards and give to their all students at the end of their every month on basis

of their academic performance.

They are also focused and concerns within the attendance (presence or absentees) of their

students.

They are send warning letters to all the students who have weak in their studies.

Accounting services to control the all department:

This Department also provides service regarding to the all accounting, financial, purchasing,

departments and also they provide services and funds

Chief proctorial board:

All the proctorial board is under control of the chief proctor to also control with the help of its

deputy chief proctors.

RELATION SHIP BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS PROCESSING IN

COLLEGE

There is a strong relationship between the finance and accounts department in college, because they are interdependent with one and other t help on any critical situation. Without helps finance managers cannot cooperation with each other regarding their activity to all their departmental work till then to the accounts section do not provides there all reports regarding to finance as well as account section to prepared their dues etc.

their difficulties their main purpose is that for students as well as for college teachers . Because

they well to informed about each and every situations regarding to the student’s on the basis

his performance they also prepared and distributes their white cards give to the all students

at the end of every month by consideration it makes reports to the current performance of

their students results that how efficiently they are working their progress in academic

culture .They are going optimistically or prismatically so after that they are involved in

preparing the warning letters or meeting letters along with their guardians for the students

who are also nil in their studies showing the dull results that are so informed to their

parents and guardians they are also set up the meetings in those days .In meetings they are

also discussed form the parents to all their students regarding to the studies their

performances whether totally depends it is concerned within the attendance (presence or

absentees) for the students, or their about results so in this function the college is running

through a QUALITY GATE WAY because if there is any member from their office is not

HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS IN PAKISTAN AND THEIR EDUCATIONAL

INSTITUTES:

The Health and Safety at Work, etc Act Rule 197 4:

The main piece of legislation is affecting for the management for health and safety in

educational establishments across all their sectors is Health and Safety Work in institution ,

etc Act 1974 (HSWA). This Act provides framework for ensuring their health and safety

regulations of all employees to about their work activities. It also provided the health and

safety for anyone that who may be affected by their work activities in e.g. pupils/students

and visitors to educational sites, including parents and contractors.

Employers and employees (as well as manufacturers, suppliers and the self-employed) must

be complied their duties to set out in the Act, which is also summarizing the following as.

Section 2 places the duty of employers to ensuring the health and safety as well as welfare

of employers for its reasonable practicable. It also required employers the consultation of

their trade union within safety representatives or their matters affecting health and safety

as well as to the workplaces. Moreover the employers of more than five people to prepared

the written health and safety policy to bring its attention to the employees.

RISK ASSESMENT OF ALL THE ACTIVITIES MENTIONED ABOVE IN

EDWARDES COLLEGE :

According to mentioned here above in their activities that we can evaluated students

suffering from these hazardous areas due to the area of department is very less for

assessing by it we can also described followed as.

Students cannot feel free his satisfaction level because it may cause of their difficulties

and faced challenged in crucial time.

It is great effects the number of students getting admissions in same college because

their name will not displayed in merit list.

There will be less admissions and no quota system available for admission with

comparison to other college.

Its funds are generated through their admissions will be scarred now.

Due to its scarcity the funds cannot be used for infrastructure of department

completed his work or activities which are also assigned by teacher

It also creates problem like at their same time it is impossible for every student to do their

works, or plug in their USB’s at a same time it may also effected by his efficiency and it

takes a long time to wait for a turn.

PLAN FOR CORRECTIVE MEASURES OF EDWARDES COLLEGE

As their above mentioning activities for their plan corrective measures is that whenever

there is lacking of department should based on their completed immediately for this

purpose because we can say that the building where our department is located through

reconstructed the area should be increased accordingly to the strengthens of their student.

It will be reconstructed then they should try to increase the number of class rooms. In

computer lab there is also much needed for improvement because in there some cases that
