MacArthur Asia Security Initiative• RSIS Centre for NTS Studies selected as one of three
core institutions to lead the initiative• Initiative launched by the John D. and Catherine T.
MacArthur Foundation • Grants are expected to raise the effectiveness of
international cooperation in preventing conflict and promoting peace and security in Asia
• Approximately $68 million in grants will be made to policy research institutions over 7 years
• RSIS Centre for NTS Studies received US$2.2 million to lead the Internal Challenges research cluster for a 3-year period
