manage multiple copies of fiscal data with quickbooks cloud hosting
DESCRIPTION
TRANSCRIPT
What is QuickBooks Cloud Hosting?
• The buzz around the cloud leading Accountants
and CPAs to rapidly consider cloud computing
profitable in terms of flexibility, time savings and
cost.
• QuickBooks Cloud Hosting is a third party initiative
that enables accountants, SMBs and CPA to
manage all their fiscal entries, reports and invoices
in QuickBooks from anywhere, anytime while
reducing their dependency on a single machine
and single point of data storage that is vulnerable.
How It Works?
Main Server • It’s the central point of access. The Customer’s
QuickBooks data and files are saved on this server where the application is installed and
space is allotted to the customer to perform
business operations through remote access.
• It is the most important and reliable point of
data access since instantaneously updated
statistics and immediate response are required to take crucial business decisions.
Backup Servers
• Backup Server B
a) Similar to Backup Server A but works on
decremental data
backup protocol.
b) Also called Partial backup where it
commits all changes
made to server since
the last checkpoint of data.
• Backup Server A
a) Holds the data backup of main
server and located at
geographically
distant places.
b) Works on Incremental
data backup
protocol.
c) Also called full backup where full
backup is taken at a
particular time.
Local Systems
• It’s the least reliable since saving data on local system as a backup may get outdated, hacked and corrupted when not backed on a daily basis.
• Working on the QB file on the local system also leads to another problem i.e. changes made by the other users will not be saved, Thus work performed offline will be treated as unaccountable.
