Introduction

„Labour market – comprises the whole of issues related with

the development of labour supply and labour demand, labour

market is the place where transactions of labour purchase, i.e.

hiring employees, and labour sales take place. The demand is

represented by employers offering job positions, while the

supply is represented by those who are seeking employment.”

Introduction

It is beyond doubt that recent decades have contributed to the

occurrence of changes on the labour market. Contemporarily,

it is shaped by such factors as:

•globalisation,

•increase of the significance of the service sector

•changing systems of values

•increase of the significance of self-employment

•dynamic development of technology

Introduction

In this context, special attention is needed for the functioning

of workers adaptation in the labour market, inter alia, in terms

of driving adequate education programmes. This is especially

true for people who could be at risk of exclusion from the

labour market from the point of view of my research –

unemployed women in rural areas.
