The History of kampoeng Batik
The batik is historical part for Javanese
people
Recently the young generation is reluctant
to continue working as a batik artist
They only recognize as a labor
The oldest people as batik artist
part time job
The big earthquake in 2006
Sekar Jagad foundation invited the youth and senior to revive as they has survived from the earthquake
the Wukirsari people has started the Batik community
Since 2010, the students have joined the community service
Every year for around 2 months.
Students stayed at the community (villages)
The students acquaint the dyeing techniques, waste management, and marketing to the community

he batik artists overuse the water that causing the artists need more energy supply to obtain the clean water thus increase the production cost
This activity focuses on how the artists can use the clean water efficiently to reduce the production cost
