MAKING FINAL IMAGE

This was the image that I started with: The parts that I identified for

enhancement have been highlighted

with arrows:

Enhancing brightness & contrastThese two features are complementary of one another and I therefore decided to

enhance them at the same time. This would ensure that they didn’t overshadow or

eliminate one another. After the brightness and contrast had been increased, this is

what the image looked like.

CurvesI then altered the “curves” of the image which made it appear generally a deeper

black, without taking away the distinct white of the background.

Adapting black and whiteI was also able to select different colours that I wanted darkened. For example, by

dragging the blue bar to the left, all of the blue in the image would become

deeper, albeit a deeper shade of black.
