We are glad to present our exclusive production of MAKE boring and milling machines, proudly and entirely made in Italy in our new plant in Rovato (BS): a total area of 36,000 square meters located right in front of the highway MI-VE.

The MAKE idea is the result of a deep knowledge of technical design and development of prestigious technical /mechanical specialisations, acquired during the years in the manufacturing of high precision machine tools for boring and milling metal job.

Many of our technicians gained their experience in CASTEL factory, hystorical company that always been considered an excellence in this field not only for the Italian but also for the European market and it is precisely to these customers that MAKE offers important service support since many times.

It is also from CASTEL’s philosophy that MAKE took inspiration but engineering new and unique models of machines with innovative features. The staff is composed of a higly specialized team of technicians, employed in different jobs but in a single facility.

Four tie rods, so-colled active, are inserted into the RAM, driven by four hydraulic moto-cylinders that they regain the elacticity of cast iron and its output gravity

The thermal expansion of the RAM group is kept under control by the SCR SYSTEM device which is able to read, determine and correct the elongation by means of a special steel (INVAR) that is non-deformable and insensitive to temperature variations (widely used in the aerospace sector) and a specially positioned optical scale.

This kind of machine with T - upright, in its version HYDRA RAM, is enriched by:

In the front part of the RAM there are hooks for the various applications (milling heads, extensions, stiffeners, etc..) and predispositions to the adductions.In addition, the end part of the boring bar is interchangeable.

The sliding between table and undertable is flat type with forced lubrication diversified in the various capacities (from 10 to 40 tons).

The X-axis motion is transmitted with a mobile leadnut and screw diam. 80/100 mm and 2/3 guides in the centre of the bed depending on the load capacity.

The rotary tables can have dimensions from 1800 X 2200 mm up to 2500 X 3500 mm all with transmission by double moto-pinion.

The HYDRA MILL model is available in the FIXED or CHANGE version depending on the interchangeability of the head: accessory with or without automatic coupling ed eventually also with automatic disappearing pick up heads system. The heads can be bi-rotary or automatic orthogonal indexed 2,5° 01° on the A and C axis, continuous positioning or continuous working. Rotation speed from 3000 RPM to 6000 RPM

THE OTHER ONE... the most I M P O R TA N T

The spindle motor is of the variable power type, from 30 to 72 Kw in S1, in accordance with the machine model and the customer’s needs; it follows the mechanical gearbox and the transmission box from our production.

The motor is water cooling type, closed in a refrigerator system and kept to a constant temperature.

The thermal expansion of the RAM group is under controll by SCR SYSTEM which is able to read, determine and correct the elongation by a special steel that is non-deformable and insensitive to temperature variations (widely used in the aerospace sector) and a specially positioned optical scale.

The head balancing is given by 2 support-point linked to 2 dependent hydraulic cylinders and alerted by CNC.

The oil of the head unit is cooled by a double refrigerator to ensure a constant temperature, necessary to obtain the precision.

The spindle head bearings constantly control the temperature and the lubrication alerted by CNC.

Also for this model the vertial movement is made by two geared motors with two ball screws depending on each others.

The head group is driven and contained in 4 vertical guides (two front and two back).

The exit RAM , section 450 X 430 mm ot 500 x 460 mm, slides on four linear guides and is contained in two cast iron half-carriages (lower and upper) large in size; the entie system is extremely rigid and compact.

The ALTAIR HEAD version presents the same technical features as the ALTAIR, but instead of the boring bar there are all the versions of automatic milling heads, differentiated according to the customer’s needs for indexing, resolution, power and torque developed.

In the CHANGE version, compared to FIXED, is possibility to interchange in complete automatic cycle the various heads which, if required, are stored in the automatic head-warehouse (pick-up).

The rotary tables of our production, can be combined to our floor type machines, they have the same details of the tables above mentioned, but with a loading capacity from 10 to 60 ton.

The manufacturing process is accurate in every step: encasing, tubes, changing tools, telescopic guard, cooling system (internal and external to the spindle) and everything needful to obtain a final implant efficient and most of all customized.
