All others are options, minors, or certificates.

Students must achieve at least a 2.0 GPA in All courses in the major and all G.E. courses All courses attempted at CSLA & all other

Block A--Basic Subjects (continued) Important Policies Executive Order 665

All new and returning students must enroll in English and Math (unless met or exempt) in their first quarter and every quarter thereafter until they have completed the Basic Subjects English and Math G.E. requirements

Students have a maximum of 3 consecutive quarters to complete English 101 and Math 101/102 Block A G.E. requirements

The Writing Proficiency Requirement Students must pass the WPE/Univ 400 or UNIV 401

by 135 units or they will not be allowed to register

American Institutions History 202A or History 202B POLS 150 meets both U.S.

Constitution and State/Local Government Requirements POLS 200 only meets State and Local

Gov’t AP Exam for POLS 150 does not test

State and Local gov’t. Students must do credit by exam for State and Local gov’t. to receive full G.E. credit

Note: Some courses may double count for Major and G.E. depending upon the Major (e.g., ANTH 250, if taken by an ANTH major meets both requirements)

Block E--Lifelong Understanding 1 course/4 units

The Writing Proficiency Requirement Students must register for and pass the

Writing Proficiency Exam (WPE/Univ 400) before reaching 135 units or they will not be allowed to register for additional units.

Student must have taken and passed English 102 or its equivalent before taking the WPE.

Students who fail the exam the first time must wait to retake the exam the following quarter.

Students who fail a second time must take and pass University 401, a ten week course the following quarter .

Upper Division G.E. Theme 3 courses/12 units within a particular

theme Prerequisites

Completion of Basic Subjects Block A Completion of at least 1 course each

from Lower Division Blocks B, C, and D Courses cannot be used to meet

Major requirements, and must be selected from courses other than the Major

Note: A completed theme is satisfied even if there’s a change of Major

Diversity Requirement All students who have a Fall 1998 or

later G.E. catalog date must complete the G.E. Diversity Requirement

Students may take any 2 courses certified as diversity (d) in the Lower Division G.E. and/or Upper Division Theme

Look for (d) courses in Blocks C, D, E and also in the Upper Division Themes

Bachelor Degree Graduation Requirements -- Units Bachelor of Science in Business

Administration (BSBA) 180 units, of which 100-108 units are

in the Business Administration At least 72 units outside the College

of Business Administration CIS and Economics majors should

consult with their advisors
