Established in 1986, The Airedale Group has evolved into one of the largest and best regarded sub-contractors in the United Kingdom that specialise in the design, manufacture, installation, service and maintenance of commercial catering facilities.

Directly employing over 270 highly trained team members and operating from eight regional offices, The Airedale Group has ten complementary divisions that combined to generate a turnover in excess of £42 million in the last financial year.

Airedale Catering Equipment is our principle commercial catering projects division, frequently supporting main contractor clients as the specialist commercial kitchen sub contractor as part of their own bids, in particular for public sector contracts such as the Priority School Building Programme (PSBP). Airedale Catering Equipment has completed more “batches” of PSBP schools than any other competitor with many more confirmed for the next twelve to eighteen months.

Other sectors in which Airedale Catering Equipment has a pedigree in consistently delivering exceptional, cost-effective commercial catering solutions for main contractor clients include healthcare, custodial, leisure and staff catering. On average, the division delivers over 400 projects for main contractors every year, the vast majority of which will have been designed and specified by our team.

GROUP DIVISIONS

The Airedale Group is a proud British manufacturer, with a large, 40,000 square foot factory located at our West Yorkshire head office. The majority of our commercial catering projects’ fabrication, including the canopies and specialist extraction systems, will have been designed and manufactured by the Group.

We are able to offer and frequently deliver full turnkey projects, encompassing every aspect of a commercial catering project. This includes M&E, painting and decorating, wall cladding and safety flooring that are delivered by our Airedale Building Services division. Eight full turnkey projects have been completed since last summer alone; all installed by our own 20 strong team of installation engineers.

Airedale Laundry Solutions is our specialist commercial laundry division, enabling the Group to supply and service all aspects of a laundry operation as part of the service we offer to main contractor clients.

In general, The Airedale Group can offer any main contractor client with a complete service for any project that has a requirement for commercial catering or laundry facilities, significantly reducing the costs incurred whilst improving the efficiency of delivering these projects.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Health and Safety is at the heart of our operations. We have not had a single reported accident or injury in the past 3 years, despite delivering over 1800 projects in this period.

We are accredited by CHAS, Achilles and ConstructionLine and we have a full Health and Safety Policy in place with safe working practices. All of our Site Managers are trained to the highest competency levels with CITB/SSSTS/SMSTS/IOSH and all relevant team members hold CSCS Cards.

Every Senior Contract Manager is IOSH certified. On any project there will be a Group Health & Safety Consultant on site.

All of our sub-contractors are vetted, monitored and subject to regular performance appraisals.

All of our 70+ Service Engineers carry Gas Safe certificates.

DESIGN CAPABILITIES

At the heart of all of our Group’s operations is our design department. Over 75% of all Airedale Catering Equipment projects will have been designed by our 15 strong design team, which includes specialist interior designs by our Arc division.

Utilising the market-leading software Revit, we have just completed one of the UK’s largest projects delivered using BIM with a main contractor at The Triangle, Cambridge Assessment.

Whatever the requirement, from walk-throughs, 3D visuals, embracing AR through to more traditional AutoCAD drawings, Airedale Catering Equipment will be able to assist any main contractors’ design department to produce a cost effective, innovative commercial catering solution for any business sector.

All projects designed by our Group will also benefit from the preferential terms we have in place with our commercial catering equipment supply partners, many of whom are British based. Combined with our own manufacturing expertise, an Airedale Catering Equipment project can be over 80% “Made in Britain,” significantly reducing the carbon footprint of our business.
