The Foreign Trade Administration and Magic 2015

Dear Colleagues

I am happy to have all of you to participate in the Magic Show in Las Vegas, for the

first time.

This year, we are attending the event to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the

Qualifying Industrial Zone Protocol (QIZ) between the United States, Egypt, and

Israel, for which several celebratory events will take place.

The parties will jointly operate a QIZ information booth, in order to market and

provide materials regarding the program, its benefits and its requirements. Next to it

there will be 24 leading Egyptian QIZ companies showcasing their products and

marketing their services.

Although the QIZ related Egyptian export has reached $1b per year, it is time to do

more to expand the QIZ program. Doubling the volume of QIZ exports is not a far-

fetched goal. The expansion of the program will not only strengthen the economic

and political relations between Israel and Egypt, but will also help to boost the small

but important textile related industry in Israel, which employs thousands of Israelis

mainly in the periphery parts of the country. Nevertheless, we also hope to expand

the QIZ beyond textile to benefit other industries.

I would like to welcome you and thank you for participating in the event and for

being able to promote the event in such a short notice.

I wish us all good luck and peace,

Gabby Bar

Head of Middle East and North Africa Department

Israeli Co-Chairman of QIZ committee

Work procedures

Our main exhibition area is located in the Egyptian Pavilion, South Hall, second

floor, Hall S-3, Booth number 90512-90612 (in the Duty Free section) at the Las

Vegas Convention Center. Please see maps on pages 10-11.

At the entrance to the QIZ booth, you will find brochures and leaflets about the QIZ

agreement and about the Foreign Trade Administration.

We encourage you to bring your guests to the ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday,

Feb 17 at 11:30.

While at the exhibition, please let us know when leaving the pavilion so we can

locate you and not miss any important meetings. Make sure your phone is available.

For any problem please contact the Israeli team. There will always be one of us at the

reception desk.

Gabby Bar is the person in charge of the pavilion on behalf of FTA and Yaron

Harel is in charge on behalf on the textile Industry Association. Please consult with

them regarding professional questions. Please note that there is an Egyptian

coordinator, Sherin Hosni, in charge of the pavilion, so you can consult with her as

well regarding logistics and professional matters regarding the Egyptian companies
