Magazine mood board

All the music magazines have white mastheads with a cracked, edgy font. Which represents the rock/metal music which is their content. They all contain a mid shot photo of a band/ artist who takes up most of the front page Most of them contain more than one photo on the front. The age group would be about 15-24 because of the edgy layout and slang. The colours most often used are red, white and black. Which are unisex colours so it appeals to both sexes.

• I like the magazines because they have a lot going on, yet still look appealing. Also the photographs have interesting placement on the page and can be quite artistic they have a lot of attitude. People buy the magazines to find out about new bands, gigs they can go to, read interviews with their favourite musicians and learn more about the music they like in general. Anyone who likes music a lot will buy a music mag. So it appeals to various age groups and genders. Rock magazine generally are bought by stereotypical groups of ‘Emo’, ‘Scene’ and ‘MetalHeads’ But various others who like this type of music will buy the mag too.
