This is the same image of the band that was used for the front cover but has been taken at a different angle. They have also made it black and white.

The contents page has been split into four sections. This has been done so that it is easy to read. The contents is divided into two topics. On the left its talks about what bands and artists feature in this issue, this is done because its is the first section the readers will look at. On the right the magazine has talked about the regular sections of the magazine that feature in every issue.

Large numbers have been used so that the readers can go straight to the page they want.

A Q review has been added to the contents page so that the new reader knows what other people think of the magazine.

Main image:This image was taken live and a guitar is used as a prop. A purple light has been used to link with colour of his clothes.

The text is sectioned into columns so that it is easy to read. It also separates it away from the main image.

The colour that was used in the main image has also been used for the title.

A arrow shape has been used to direct the readers attention to the image they are talking about. The text in this is using a purple colour again which links in with the colour used in the image they are talking about. It has used a sans serif font which makes it look informal and easy it read.

The arrow that has been used is white so that it stands out from the main image.

A drop cap is used to show where the text is starting It also makes it look more interesting it look at.

The main image also uses four sections of the contents page. Part of the text is also used in the fourth column.

The word win has been put in a different font, this draws the readers attention to this.

This is a small contents page at the side of the magazine. This allows the reader to know who is going to be in the magazine. This is done in a black font with a yellow box around it which makes it stand out from the main image.

Under the band name it has a sentence which tells us what they are going to be talking about. This gets the reader attention and they will want to know what that section of the magazine is about and find out more.

This image has been take live and has the band member placed to the right. A drum kit is the background which gives the readers an idea of the style of music they play.

Large numbers are used to make it easy for the reader to see and for them to go straight to the page.

There is a message to the readers of the magazine from the editor. This brings the reader and the editor together.

This is a play on words from the way the image has been taken, this may also link to what the magazine will be saying about him.

The contents page has been split into sections so that it is easy for the readers to look at. It is also divided up into different topics so the reader can decide what they would like to read. The columns have been divided up with images of the bands and artists that will feature in this issue of the magazine.

It has been put in speech marks to show that this quote was from her and not what other people have said. The words Never and again have been put in a bold font, this is to emphasize the way she feels it has also been put in yellow so that it stands out from the other text.

The main image was taken in a studio with the band member in the centre of the shot. A green light has been used to link with her hair colour and her shirt, this will also link to her personality.

The part of the text has been made to look like she has written the note herself. This separates it away from the other text and shows that it is something she has written and not the magazine.

This is an image of the band. This has been taken with a red light behind it. This has been done to show there passion and love for music.

The writing on the magazine has been sectioned up into columns and to one side of the double page spread. This is to so that it is easy to read.

This section of text has been used to give the readers an over view about what the page is going to be about. This will get the readers attention and make them want to continue reading it.

A pull quote has been used to make the readers want to read the rest of the text.

This is a small contents page on the front cover. This has been put here so that the readers know who is going to be in the magazine before they open it. The name of the artists and bands have been put into there own boxes to separate them away from the main image.

The contents page is smaller compared to other magazine contents pages. This has been done so that another story can fitted on to this page.

This is an advertisement which was placed at the bottom of the page. The advertisement is for NME magazine and has been put there so more readers will buy it again.

This contents page is different from the other music magazines I have looked at. The lay out of the contents page has been reduced and is placed to one side of the page, this could be hard to read. The other side of the page has an image and story from an band which is similar to what I have looked at on the double page spread.

The font size is smaller them other contents pages, this makes it harder for them to find the page they want. However it has been done in a red colour which makes it stand out.

Pictures have been used to separate the text it is also divided into columns which makes it easier to read.

A pull quote from the text has been picked out. This could be a big subject which the artist is talking about. This has been done in a san serif font which makes it look informal.

A drop cap has been used to show wear the text starts it also makes the text look more interesting.

The start of these two sections of text have been put in bold, this has been done to act as a header.

This text has been put into a time line so that it is easier to read rather them it being in a column.

The text has been highlighted in blue so that it stands out from the back ground. There is also blue arrows so that you are able to follow the text.
