Contacts made of electrolytic copper material with double break system ensure long life and better conductivity of contacts.

No Volt coil, Tripping coils and Contacts are immersed in oil which absorbs sparking of contacts and coil temperature.

No Volt coils are designed to withstand wide voltage fluctuations.

The magnetic type over load release with adjustable oil dash pot time lag device works on the principle of current and not dependent on the temperature, it enables fine adjustment of the setting even to a fraction of an Ampere, thus eliminating the use of single phase preventor.

Instructions

Before energizing, remove packing materials and tag along with cotton tape from

guides. Fill in the tank with good quality transformers oil up to the level mark

before energizing (2.25 litres for DOL, 3.25 for HDOL, and 4.25 litres for SD). Oil

must be checked periodically and change oil for better life. To start the motor

press and hold the green colour push button for at least 5 to 10 seconds for

proper functioning in the case of D.O.L starter. In the Star Delta Starters, bring the

handle to “Star” position, then press and hold green colour push button until the

motor gets energized and shift the handle to “Delta” position. it is not possible to

put the handle into “Delta” position without going through “Star” position.

Oil immersed Star Delta Starter Semi Automatic / Automatic

The starter is consisting of three contactors. In the semi automatic starter, the time

delay extends over the period when the start button is kept pressed. The

changeover from star to delta takes place at the instant when the start button is

released. In the automatic starter, delay timer is provided. It changes from star to

delta automatically in the preset time.

Air Break single phase Motor Starter have bimetal overload

auto reset type relay which provides complete protection to single

phase motor. Two pole contactor with No volt coil protects from

voltage variation.

As given in selection table starter relay ranges are for surface motors. The next higher

relay range must be selected in case of submersible motors where the full load current

is higher than the surface motor.

While placing order please specify motor HP, Voltage, Full load current rating and coil

voltage.

In case of high torque motors, special model starters can be supplied on request.

The local electrical codes and regulations must be followed for installation.

Air Break Starter must be mounted vertically upright

Starter must be protected from rain and direct sunlight. It must have good air

circulation and be away from high temperature locations.

Starter location should be easily accessible for regular inspection and be relatively free

from dust, fumes and moisture.

Starters must be selected with suitable relay range as per motor rating shown in the

selection table.

Turn the current adjustment knobs to set full load current of motor mentioned in the

motor name plate.

Check screws for tightness and give proper earthing to avoid shocks. Starters must

never be used without backup fuses. HRC fuses are preferable for protecting the

installation as well as the relay of the starter against short circuits.

For reverse rotation of motors, interchange any two supply lines. Pilot circuit fuses

must be used incase of remote control operation to protect pilot wiring, which is not

adequately protected by the backup fuses.

There should not be any loose connections in incoming and outgoing terminal.

Please refer operator’s manual supplied along with starter for wiring diagram.
